The incumbent is responsible for preparing equipment designs from oral directions or from discussions of what functions or processes are needed in relation to student, research, or instruction needs; developing unique equipment of a specialized nature to assist students and faculty; developing experimental models, systems and devices; repairs and maintains the most complex factory built or prototype equipment.
