Oak Street Health's NP Fellowship in Adult Primary Care is in formal collaboration with the University of Michigan School of Nursing.     Cedar Park Med is recruiting experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who are ready to provide quality patient care and join a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge to perform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat illnesses, and manage chronic health conditions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Cedar Park Med's mission and values. Available Shifts/Contracts: Full-Time/Part-Time positions Contract durations: 8, 13, or 26 weeks Key Responsibilities: Perform vital sign checks and gather appropriate medical histories. Conduct independent assessments, diagnose, and treat various illnesses and traumas. Refer conditions beyond the NP's scope to the Clinical Director. Manage chronic health problems effectively. Prescribe medications, including narcotic and controlled substances, in accordance with the Soldiers' Home Policy and Procedures Manual. Administer immunizations as needed. Provide counseling and guidance on drug, alcohol, and tobacco use, diet, weight control, and the effects of prescribed medications and treatments. Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, electrocardiograms, audiograms, tympanometry, and other necessary diagnostic studies. Perform comprehensive physical exams. Assist other medical personnel with minor surgical procedures as directed. Document clinical information accurately using the appropriate reports or forms in line with the Soldiers' Home Policy and Procedures Manual. Adhere to the requesting State of Kansas agencies' Policies and Procedures. Participate in continuing education, workshops, seminars, in-service programs, and orientation programs for personal and professional growth. Accept and fulfill the obligations of scheduled assignments as requested and confirmed. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Must be currently registered with the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an area of placement within the past year. Strong ability to communicate effectively, be observant, and make professional decisions. Current BLS and/or ACLS certification is preferred.
