Overview The Stage Crew / Audio Visual Technicians are responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling, and maintenance of stages during theater productions. They provide assistance backstage before, during, and directly after productions for a variety of technical needs. Help setting up and testing sound, lighting, and other equipment according to set requirements. They are also responsible to provide support, set up, tear down, and complete maintenance of all audio video and stage equipment to be used at the venue in the theater and event spaces offered. Qualifications High school diploma. Previous audio visual or stagehand experience required. 2-3 years stagehand experience preferred. Ability to collaborate with others and take direction. Willingness to work after hours and meet deadlines. Ability to focus under pressure. Excellent stamina and strength. Experience with sound, lighting, and video equipment preferred including wireless mics, mixers, speakers, video boards, etc. Working knowledge of DMX controls is a plus. Exposure to Windows operating system. Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on event schedules. Physical Demands: Requires frequent walking/standing (possibly on uneven surfaces), climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, working in cramped positions while reaching, pushing, pulling, driving, lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs. on a daily basis. Ability to frequently and safely climb and navigate stairs, work on roofs and catwalks over 50ft high. Good hand-eye coordination and reflexes for the safe operation of equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and abililty to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses. Work Environment: This position requires work inside and/or outside of the building as needed by events and is subject to changing climate and adverse weather conditions. The worker is subjected to noise. Noise levels will vary depending on job task and events in the building and is generally minimal to moderate during non-event days and moderate to loud during events. Overview This position is based at Angel Of The Winds Arena in Everett, WA. The Building Engineer is part of our Engineering Department who maintain all facility systems and equipment. This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00-$32.00. Participate in support of events; coordinate arrangements with events and operations departments, contractors and clients; monitor and/or direct the work of contractors on building projects. Participate in project and maintenance planning for facility infrastructure and operations; identify and resolve problems; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work projects, methods and procedures. Monitor and communicate expenditures for equipment, materials, and supplies; oversee supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies. Except for trivial purchases, obtain Chief Engineers approval before ordering supplies. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials communication program, material safety data sheets and required records and permits; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations. Ensure a safe work environment at all times. Participate in emergency response including fire alarms and power outages; wear proper PPE where appropriate. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Display a calm, respectful demeaner when dealing with coworkers, patrons or event personnel. Qualifications Minimum four (4) years experience in building maintenance; experience in plumbing, electrical, building repair and carpentry work preferred. Experience in an ice arena, sports & entertainment or hospitality industry strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; must possess a valid Washington State drivers license and a good driving record. Must be certified to operate a forklift; specialized training/experience in the repair and maintenance of building HVAC and related systems preferred. Certifications required: 07 Electrical License; Refrigeration unlimited - ammonia systems (06 Refrigeration License preferred); 4th grade or higher Steam Engineers' license. EPA CFC Universal preferred. Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders required; must be able to be fitted for respiratory equipment; must have experience with power and hand tools. Must be familiar with and practice OSHA safety policies. Required to work independently and under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed due to event schedules, unexpected equipment issues etc. and must be able to be on call for weekends, evenings and holidays. Must exercise a strong sense of urgency to address safety, maintenance, operational and security issues. About the Venue McCaw Hall is home to the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera. Responsibilities Responsible for helping set up and stocking all concession stands & catering rooms. Attention to detail including company standards of inventory control, sanitation, presentation, and quality is always required. Ensure the cleanliness of all concession stands by removing all trash and recyclables. Responsible for rotating food products during the stocking process to ensure the freshest products are being served to guests. Responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse including sweeping, mopping, organizing storage areas and cleaning commissary dishes. Flexible work schedule. Must be able to work some weekends Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years foodservice / hospitality experience; similar venue experience a plus. Food service certification Physical Dimensions: Performing the duties of this position involves extensive and continuous standing and walking. This seamless complex offers a NHL regulation ice rink open year-round, diverse arena space that can be used for WHL hockey, basketball, indoor football, trade shows, concerts and more; as well as a full conference center that can host conventions, meetings, weddings, banquets, and more. Responsibilities Assist in facility operations, maintenance and ice maintenance. Assist in event, conversions and operations. Qualifications -High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Previous arena or ice experience preferred, but not required. -Forklift, scissor lift and Zamboni experience preferred, but not required. -Able to use power tools as well as basic hand tools. -Able to work flexible schedule; nights, weekends and holidays. -Able to work and be on feet for long periods of time. -Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, unaided. -Able to work in a fast-paced environment. -Ability to perform tasks unsupervised as well as help lead others Strengthened by our Differences.
