• Implement end-to-end BI reporting solutions using Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) 11g.
• Work with business experts to understand business needs, translate business requirements into system functionality, and ensure that results meet established needs, goals, and timelines.
• Successfully deliver on multiple assignments by self-directing, prioritizing, and managing tasks and demands.
• Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of IT and business stakeholders.
• Delivering results through strong leadership and a focus on what’s best for our customers and users.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team in developing testing plans and streamlining testing activities.
• Adhere to and enforce USG’s software development methodology and standards, which include functional and technical designs, code reviews, unit & integration testing.
• Clearly document and communicate technical designs, solutions, and issues.
• Assist in the training and development of other team members, contribute toward the continuous improvement of the BI team, and help to build the capabilities of the IT department.
• Maintain a strong focus on positive customer experience through all interactions and delivered products.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management methodology
• Deep competency in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) tools, techniques, architectures, and operations
• Ability to effectively communicate with business users and translate business requirements into system functionality.
• Experience in designing and developing OBIEE RPD components to apply business rules and present information
• Understanding of best practices and development standards for OBIEE
• Experience in OBIEE 11g security and server administration
• Performance tuning skills – SQL and OBIEE
• Experience in designing and developing Analytics and Dashboards
• In-depth knowledge of formal dimensional and relational data design principles and practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively on diverse teams to design and deploy Business Intelligence systems
• Strong data / process analysis and modeling skills using modern tools
• Ability to assimilate knowledge quickly in a variety of domains and adept at leading discussions to articulate questions that are of value
• Effective Team player Preferred Skills
• Oracle APEX development experience
• Experience with Informatica ETL design • Knowledge of Data Warehousing methodologies, architectures, and technologies that are used to transform data into useable and actionable information • Experience designing reports in BI Publisher
• Agile methodology knowledge
