Job Description Under the leadership of the Supervisor, E.M.S., the EMT is an active member of the Emergency Medical Services team that works to determine the strategic vision, goals, philosophy, and direction of the department and CRHS. The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for operating emergency vehicles and ensuring the vehicles are clean, organized, properly maintained, and appropriately stocked with medical supplies. Responds to requests for emergency services and establishes and maintains two-way communication with Emergency Service personnel on route to the emergency scene and returning to the Emergency Department. Assess the emergency scene on site and evaluate and stabilize ill or injured patients within the EMT scope of training/licensure. Assess the patients' medical condition, obtain a medical history, and communicate that assessment and history to the medical control physician ensuring the understanding of the medical event.
