Shift: Days, 33 hours/week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 630am- 6pm, with a rotating weekend on-call schedule

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC
Our Surgical Technicians help ensure the success of our surgeries by preparing for and assisting in a wide variety of surgical procedures in multiple specialties. More specifically, the Surgical Technicians' responsibilities include:
Preparing the surgical patient, including positioning, prepping, and draping
Assisting with instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, and dressings
Performing scrub duties including table set up, instrumentation, first assisting, and counting of instruments before and after operation
Assisting the Operating Room RN in providing patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively
Preparing specimens as needed
Observing incisions for bleeding and anticipating the need to control bleeding
Assisting with lifting and transporting of patients
Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Current BLS
Excellent verbal communication skills in English
Take Call and live within 30 minutes of the Hospital.
ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Meets the requirements for certification (CST) by the Association of Surgical Technologists
OR
For current CNAs, LPNs, or RNs willing to complete six months of on-the-job training with in-house education to gain a Surgical Technologist (ST).

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
As a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room you will deliver high quality, patient centered care as you assist staff during operative and invasive procedures. You will ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed. + You will be competent in the knowledge, skills and abilities to fulfill the scrub technician activities in the operating room as defined by AORN standards.
+ You will work with Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to clean the Operating Rooms and equipment between patients following facility policies and procedures.
+ You will participate in safety initiates to ensure correct surgery inpatient identification, and verification of the procedure to be performed within the OR when the patient is present and prior to the surgical prep.
+ You will rely on previous experience to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
+ You will count all sponges, needles and instruments with the circulating RN on all surgical procedures done in the Operating Room following facility policies and procedures. In the event a sponge/needle count is incorrect, the circulating RN will inform the attending surgeon and the Anesthesiologist and a course of action will be determined and the action will be documented on the Operating Room Record as defined by facility policies and procedures.
+ You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
+ You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well- stocked/organized, and safe patient care environment.
**Qualifications:**
+ American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
+ Surgical Technologist Certificate preferred (CST) or equivalent.
+ Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience.
+ One year operating room experience preferred.

* Anticipates surgeon's needs and assists surgeon by draping patients, holding/passing instruments, retractors, sutures, and medications, applying surgical dressings, suctioning and sponging surgical wounds, holding extremities, and moving patients.
* Recognizes and reports emergency situations.
* Adjusts priorities and participates in resolving problems as appropriate.
* Assists in identification, labeling and proper specimen disposition using departmental procedures.
* Performs or assists in sterile preps as needed/requested by monitoring aseptic techniques of surgical team members at field, reporting and correcting breaks in sterile technique immediately, and controlling location of contaminated instruments and supplies.
* Maintains appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment by restocking room with necessary equipment and supplies and apprises supervisor of special requests for surgical supplies and equipment.
* Assists with decontamination of all equipment, instruments, and supplies as necessary and assists with cleaning rooms, furniture, and equipment according to established procedures

How you will contribute
* You will determine donor eligibility; to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
* You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
* You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
* You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
* You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
* You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.
What you bring to Takeda:
* High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
* Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
* Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy

Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Schedule overview: Opening shifts begin as early as 5am, and closing shifts end as late as 10pm. Our teammates work 3-4 days per week on a rotating basis with the schedule made well in advance. Shifts range from 10-13 hours in length. Saturdays are rotated - and Sundays we are closed!
DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you'll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
Record vital signs and patient data
Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
Willing to float between local clinics if needed
Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

* Prepare dressings or bandages and apply or assist with their application following surgery.
