Responsibilities The surgical technologists will be working directly with the surgical team. The surgical technologists will be responsible for preparing the surgical suite according to age specific, medical condition and surgeon preference. The candidate will also perform appropriate sponge, sharp and instrument counts according to hospital policies and procedures. It will be required for the candidate to cross train to other surgical areas in our system. The candidate will demonstrate competency to aseptic surgical equipment annually. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification 2. Willingness to be cross trained to other areas 3. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares for surgical procedures. Pulls appropriate instruments and supplies and ensures good working order of instruments.
