About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced OR Scrub Tech to join our team in the OperatingRoom. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the OR Scrub Tech performs various duties in the care of patients undergoing a surgical procedure. As an OR Scrub Tech, you will assist in the planning and implementation of care of patients undergoing a surgical procedure. Assists in the evaluation of the patient at the end of the procedure. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the surgical equipment and supplies, as well as assisting the surgeon during the procedure. Your attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure will be essential in this role. Ultimately, your contribution will help us provide the highest quality care to our patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
Ability to work well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
Current certification as a surgical technologist
Previous experience as a surgical or OB Tech is strongly preferred.
Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
Experience with electronic medical records
Experience with robotic surgical systems
Responsibilities:
Follows AORN recommended practices
Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
Assist the surgeon during the procedure
Demonstrates knowledge of and practices safe utilization of sterilization methods
Ensure the safety and well-being of the patient during labor and delivery
Maintain a sterile environment in the operatingroom
Communicate effectively with the surgical team
Skills:
As an OR Scrub Tech, you will utilize your knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients. You will need to have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Additionally, you will need to communicate effectively with the surgical team and maintain a sterile environment in the operatingroom. Your experience with electronic medical records and robotic surgical systems will be beneficial in this role.
