Operating room technician job in Kailua, HI
Job DescriptionStep into the role of Surgical Tech in Kailua, Hawaii, where precision, compassion, and teamwork converge to elevate patient care in a setting that feels as restorative as the lifestyle it supports. This opportunity places you at the heart of the operatingroom, where your expertise in sterile technique, instrument preparation, and intraoperative support helps surgeons perform with confidence and patients recover with dignity. As you join a dedicated perioperative team starting February 16, 2026, you'll contribute to a variety of procedures across specialties, ensuring safety, efficiency, and flawless workflow. In a place renowned for its sunlit mornings, pristine beaches, and a welcoming community, your professional journey will be grounded in purpose and balanced by the natural beauty of Kailua. Beyond the OR, you'll have the chance to explore the state's iconic landscapes, from turquoise waters to emerald peaks, creating a sense of renewal that sustains your focus and passion for care.
Location Benefits: Working in Kailua offers a unique blend of professional clinical excellence and island charm. You'll be embedded in a community that values collaboration, patient-centered care, and continuous learning, with access to facilities that champion best practices in the perioperative field. The opportunity to work in multiple locations across the U.S. enriches your experience-exposure to diverse case mixes, equipment, and hospital cultures-while you enjoy Hawaii's exceptional climate, outdoor recreation, and a supportive network designed for traveling professionals. In Kailua and nearby Oahu facilities, you'll experience shorter commutes, robust safety standards, and a culture of aloha that makes every shift feel more connected. The chance to rotate through different sites can broaden your clinical perspective, sharpen your troubleshooting skills, and expand your professional network, all while keeping a consistent framework of travel support and scheduling flexibility.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Surgical Tech, you'll be responsible for preparing the sterile field, arranging instruments and implants, assisting the surgical team, and maintaining accurate counts throughout procedures. You'll anticipate the needs of the surgeon, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and uphold the highest levels of asepsis and patient safety. The role offers meaningful opportunities for professional growth within the surgical specialty, with exposure to general, orthopedic, ENT, and other procedural areas that strengthen your technique and broaden your scope. In addition to growing technical proficiency, you'll gain experience in teamwork, communication, and resource management-skills that position you for leadership roles or broader perioperative collaboration as you advance. Compensation reflects this competitive path: weekly pay in the range of $1,538 to $1,551, with potential for a sign-on bonus and housing assistance, along with extension opportunities that provide continuity and deeper integration into the team. A robust support framework accompanies you on every assignment, including 24/7 assistance from our dedicated travel team, a comprehensive onboarding process, and a responsive operations partner who helps with credentialing, housing options, and shift planning. You'll be part of a mission-driven company that values steadiness, reliability, and a can-do attitude, while you enjoy the clinical variety that comes with traveling across facilities and, at times, across states.

We foster a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and transparent communication, inviting you to take ownership of your career trajectory. By prioritizing career advancement, we create clear paths for skill diversification, leadership development, and cross-specialty collaboration within a supportive and respectful work environment. The company's commitment to staff wellbeing means you'll benefit from consistent guidance, constructive feedback, and recognition for your contributions, ensuring you feel valued as an essential part of the perioperative team. This is more than a job-it's a community that celebrates your expertise, supports your goals, and helps you chart a rewarding professional journey.

Operating room technician job in Kailua, HI
Job DescriptionEmbark on a high-impact journey as a Surgical Tech with our travel program, where precision, teamwork, and compassion come together in operatingrooms that save lives every day. In Kailua, Hawaii, you'll support expert surgical teams delivering exceptional patient care while you expand your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This role puts you at the heart of perioperative care, helping to ensure sterile environments, meticulously prepared instrument sets, and smooth collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and support staff. It's a chance to refine your technique, broaden your clinical exposure, and contribute to outcomes that families will remember for years. Separately, Kailua's beauty speaks for itself: white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, palm-lined shores, and a gentle tropical breeze that invites you to unwind after demanding shifts. The island's legacy of warmth and community creates a work experience that feels both professionally rewarding and personally uplifting.
Location Benefits: Working in Kailua places you in a setting known for outstanding healthcare facilities that value teamwork, safety, and patient-centered outcomes. You'll enjoy the unique advantages of serving in a premier tropical locale while tapping into the resources of renowned medical teams that emphasize best practices, continuing education, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. The opportunity to travel with our program also means exposure to varied case mixes and different hospital cultures across the U.S., enriching your clinical perspective and expanding your professional network. Beyond the OR, Kailua and its neighboring Oahu communities offer accessible outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and a balanced lifestyle that supports resilience, focus, and long-term career satisfaction. Whether you're refining your surgical tech skills in Hawaii or embracing a broader set of experiences stateside, you'll benefit from a structured travel framework designed to enhance your versatility and confidence.
Role Specifics and Benefits: As a Surgical Tech in this program, your core responsibilities include preparing sterile fields and instrument trays, ensuring correct instrument counts before, during, and after procedures, passing instruments with precision, assisting the surgical team as needed, maintaining strict sterile technique, and supporting patient safety from pre-op through post-op handoffs. You'll have opportunities for professional growth through exposure to multiple surgical specialties, enabling you to diversify your skill set and pursue leadership paths within the perioperative arena. The compensation for this assignment is competitive, with weekly pay ranging from $1,332 to $1,409, reflecting the value of your expertise and the responsibilities you'll shoulder. We offer housing assistance to ease relocation logistics and to help you settle into your temporary home quickly and comfortably. Additionally, there are extension opportunities, allowing you to deepen your experience with trusted facilities if you wish to continue after the initial term. Expect comprehensive support from a dedicated team, including 24/7 assistance while you travel with the company, credentialing support, orientation resources, and ongoing guidance as you navigate different OR environments. While this program emphasizes flexibility, it also reinforces your stability by providing clear pathways for skills development, performance feedback, and recognition for your contributions to patient outcomes.
Company Values: Our organization is built on empowering perioperative staff to grow, learn, and advance. We believe in creating a supportive, mentor-driven culture where experienced techs guide newer teammates, credentials are cultivated, and performance is acknowledged. Your career trajectory is important to us, and we invest in continuing education, cross-training opportunities, and a respectful, inclusive work environment that honors your dedication to patient care. You'll join a team that values reliability, integrity, and collaboration; a place where your voice matters and your professional development is prioritized as part of a broader mission to elevate surgical care across communities.
