The Role We Want You For
The Commissioning Engineer will lead day-to-day activities providing technical knowledge and solving skills as Completions Management System (CMS) SME (CxAlloy). Prepare detailed CMS plans and procedures for system turnover and handover. Educate and promote buy in for Completions Management System and Completions procedures across the Project Execution Teams. Support Commissioning Project Managers, Leads and System Owners to handover systems to Manufacturing / Operations / Facilities.
The Specifics of the Role
Turnover, completions, commissioning, and handover procedures
Database population, auditing, maintenance
Systemization
Position will require 80% CxAlloy Management and 20% field support.
Validates engineering design data and oversees population of CxAlloy (CMS), including assigning assets to systems.
Understands basis of checklist assignments and creates and maintains checklist matrix and assigns and audits CxAlloy for correct checklist assignments.
Updates Equipment, Construction Checklists, Commissioning Checklists, Completions Certificates, and Issues, as required.
Manages access and user rights in CxAlloy to ensure proper controls in place for stat using and inputs.
Trains users at beginner and advanced levels in CxAlloy weekly training and technical support issues.
Systemizes drawing packages and updates accordantly.
Systemizes Project commodities, processes and identifies system boundaries of each in CxAlloy.
Translates systemized drawings to CMS - adds assets to appropriate systems.
Updates drawings, systemization, check sheets as changes are updated through revisions, tag changes, RFI"s SME for system status review and walkdown tracking, including leading meetings, system sign off and commissioning check sheets in weekly reviews.
Monitors construction schedule in preparation to executing commissioning activities.
Provides weekly schedule status updates to assigned Scheduler(s) to demonstrate commissioning status advancement, completion, or lack of advancement.
Progress reporting via CMS data manipulation and milestone tracking.
Leads progress meetings with Construction, Commissioning and Facilities teams.
Drives systems to completion via close interaction with Construction and Commissioning teams, identifying opportunities to facilitate handover.
Schedules and tracks walkdowns with System Owner support, ensuring system readiness via CMS checklist and punch statuses.
Facilitates closure and tracking of closure of issues in CMS and highlights issues to close to contractors, construction, commissioning, and facilities responsible groups.
SME for uploads of issues and punch list items identified.

Position Overview:
Eaton's CPA business within the Electrical Sector is currently seeking an Operations Engineer to join our team. This is a two-year rotational program designed to develop future operational leaders within our Electrical Sector. These rotations can be base in one of our manufacturing locations in either Sumter, SC or Cleveland, TN and offers relocation assistance.
Operations Engineers in the rotational program will gain exposure to the Engineering function as well and at their assignment locations (Eaton manufacturing locations). Assignments will give the participants exposure to manufacturing and test functions, Eaton Field Sales, end customers, and manager of people experiences.
Participants will get exposure to a variety of Eaton products including Safety Switches, Panelboards, and Switchboards. The program is designed to give you different experiences based on the rotation path that you are interested in pursuing.
Based on the rotation path these are items you could be doing:
What you'll do: (depending on your program)
* Order Management: Accurately process switchboard orders and prepare manufacturing documentation using tools such as Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.
* Design & Engineering: Develop and route custom fabricated parts using AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools; support design reviews and implementation across teams and facilities.
* Customer Engagement: Interface with customers, sales teams, and support channels through training, plant visits, and events to enhance product understanding.
* Product Development: Collaborate with Product Line Engineering (PLE) teams to improve designs, manage prototype builds, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
* Technical Documentation: Translate complex customer specifications into standard designs and schematics; manage mechanical/electrical interfaces and approval drawings.
* Training & Support: Provide technical training across departments and assist engineers in troubleshooting and application development.
* Quality Assurance: Partner with the Quality team to resolve testing issues, develop procedures, and ensure post-shipment support.
* Safety & Inclusion: Adhere to safety protocols including 5S and promote a culture of inclusion and respect for diverse perspectives.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date by May 2026.
* Minimum of one internship or co-op experience OR an equivalent of 3 months of relevant experience completed at the time of this application.

Primary Position Purpose:
The Sr DevOps Engineer will manage our growing hybrid infrastructure and build tools to increase the productivity of the engineering team. DevOps Engineers at U.S. Xpress are part of the CloudOps and Infrastructure team. They are extremely code savvy with hybrid-cloud approach, function using software engineering paradigms, extensively use infrastructure as code, deploy applications at scale on Kubernetes, and work with several AWS and container platforms. They also work closely with backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineering teams.
