Position Overview:
Operates an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to select products from warehouse pick locations using Vocollect (voice command) system. Responsible for accurately labeling and palletizing product as it is selected, building custom orders, and transporting the selected product to appropriate outbound dock staging area in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas).
Responsibilities
Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to accurately and safely hand select orders within various warehouse temperature environments
Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper operating procedures
Stage pallets for loading at an assigned outbound dock location
Maintain established selection rates per temperature zones
Shrink-wrap product to secure load for transit
Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role
Cross train and perform other duties such as loading, receiving and replenishment, as assigned
Qualifications
at least 1 year of prior warehouse experience required; working in a food distribution center is needed.

The Freezer Selector is responsible for picking a variety of products from the warehouse freezer inventory and preparing orders to be shipped to retail stores. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Clear blue lights in assigned area/pick module.
Monitor and arrange low batches to the front of the zones in assigned area.
Promptly communicate any jams or flow issues in their respective area to leadership.
Promptly communicate any lack of available work or excess staff in their respective area to leadership.
Assists in Induction/tote prep (labeling, loading conveyor belt, etc).
Pull totes off conveyor belt on 3
rd
floor or wherever assigned, when assigned.
Picks low batches in zone.
Collects and stray UFO/Damage items and brings them to appropriate receptacle.
Other duties/tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills - requiring able to use a log in and password and follow simple instructions.
Some warehouse experience preferred but not required
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to speak and understand in simple English.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's.
Correctly hear and follow instructions from a voice headset, or read instructions from a scanner, computer or paper sheet.
Ability to read alpha and numerical codes

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Continuously perform repetitive physical tasks involving frequent walking, reaching, bending, lifting, twisting, pushing/pulling, and standing.
Correctly hear instructions from a voice headset, or read instructions from a scanner, computer or paper sheet.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally team lift up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
