Physical Therapy Receptionist
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Receptionist to join our team. The receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. · Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone

Qualifications

Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and scheduling software
Excellent customer service, multitasking, and time management skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment:
· Front desk area of a busy Orthopaedic rehabilitation clinic
· Frequent interaction with patients recovering from surgery, athletes, and individuals with musculoskeletal injuries

Qualifications:

Conduct a thorough and detailed audit of incoming orders, assuring that both the order and clinical information matches the exam and authorization and informing physician and/or Medical Assistant when correction is needed.

Screening every patient to verify safety using MRI manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to Gauss/Cm, magnet strength, placement and duration of all implants.

Responsible for maintaining and distributing of medical records for patient pick-up.
Ensure release form has been completed and payments received, when applicable.
Act as liaison between patient and other staff, including medical assistants, physicians, physician assistants, administrative assistants, etc.
Maintain excellent communication with technologist and patients regarding wait times or physician delays.
Conduct a thorough and detailed audit of incoming orders, assuring that both the order and clinical information matches the exam and authorization and informing physician and/or Medical Assistant when correction is needed.
Understanding of the health screening questions, and possible risks associated with MR exams.
Screening every patient to verify safety using MRI manufacturer guidelines including but not limited to Gauss/Cm, magnet strength, placement and duration of all implants.
Obtaining all implant information and contacting manufacturer when needed to ensure patient safety before scheduling MRI and importing all documents obtained for MRI clearance as per safety guidelines.
Ensure prior diagnostic testing clearance is obtained, including X-rays and/or proper bloodwork/GFR and required documentation including operative notes are scanned into patient's chart.
Trained in MRI safety level II, and BLS as required by ACR.
Ensure that incoming faxes are delivered and/or acted on immediately.
Retrieves and responds to voice mail messages in a timely manner.
