Logs information in computer. * Ensures parts/materials are properly stored, identified and comply with Shelf Life programs. * Expedites past-due repair and purchase orders for critical spare requirements. * Maintains awareness of Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) to prevent entry of SUP into Company inventories. * Performs shipping functions of both hazardous/non-hazardous material using a variety of options, including creating and delivering counter to counter shipments for air transport. * Reviews the computer system daily for open requisitions to determine if requested parts/materials are still needed and to cancel/delete outdated requisitions. Conducts inventory cycle counts. Accurately reports discrepancies. * Works with different departments to ensure maintenance tasks are completed to support the organization. * Conducts monthly self-audits including shelf life, hazardous shipping files and various FAA audits. * Maintains tooling needed to perform maintenance tasks. * Maintains a secure, clean and orderly stockroom per Company policies and procedures and FAA requirements. * Ensures compliance with hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations. Follows and complies with all Environmental Protection Agency polices that impact the airline. * Performs other duties as assigned or required. Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hook tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transport load to designated area. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device. Deliver metal parts or stock to designated work areas for machining, using electric pallet mover, hoist, or overhead crane. Lift metal part or stock onto machine, manually or using hoist, and secure it on machine table, in chuck, or fixture, using wrenches, to assist in setting up machine. May inventory materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed. May weigh materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Add coolant to reservoirs of machines and lubricate machine parts and ways, using grease gun and oilcan. Reclaim cutting and lubricating oils from machines by pumping oil from machine reservoir into barrel, dumping oil from barrel into centrifugal separator that removes metal chips and dirt from oil, and drain clean oil from separator into containers. Remove metal chips and shavings from surfaces of machines, using rag or air hose, and wipe surfaces of machines with rag to remove excess oil. Clean around work areas, using broom and shovel. May separate metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and places them in bins for resale. Remove burrs or excess metal from machined parts, using files, sandpaper, emery cloth, or grinding machine. Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities. Assist receiving and inspection in the timely and efficient movement of materials. Using tow motor and/or material handling equipment, load and unload company and vendor trucks. In the case of raw material plate or unique customer supplied items, employ knowledge of correct material handling equipment and procedures. Store materials in designated locations. Seek assistance in handling large and/or difficult items. Assist stores, burnout and saw room areas in the movement of routed items, scrap or items designated for off-site storage. Move items at the direction of the supervisor or as requested by various work centers. Ensure that routed items contain a bar code router and that the current operation has been signed off in black ink. Responsible for the following areas: stores aisle, receiving dock and saw room. Strive daily to keep these areas clear of unauthorized equipment, such as spreader bars, mark lifts/wildcats, welders, tow motors, etc. Disposal of skids and trash is the primary responsibility of maintenance, although, the material handler should assist as needed. Load and unload, arranging load to properly utilize space and balance load for proper weight distribution; block and secure as required to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Maintain work areas and vehicles in a clean and orderly condition checking oil, water, fuel levels, etc. to ensure proper operating levels and report any unsafe condition or needed repair or maintenance work as needed. Follow prescribed driving procedures and use of the daily vehicle operator's checklists. Participate in team activities and problem solving sessions as required. Communicate problems and/or solutions to appropriate team member. As needed, document and/or chart production data to aid in problem identification, quality feedback and production scheduling. Assist other team members in their duties to ensure a quality product and smooth flow. Troubleshoot problems when necessary. Train, instruct and assist other operators as required. What You'll Get to Do The Loader/Unloader is focused on completing paperwork to receive in glass, supplies and other miscellaneous product deliveries on a computer in a timely manner and reports to the Operational Supervisor. Job responsibilities include: Unload glass truck deliveries using overhead crane Reconcile product counts with paperwork.   Process paperwork and enter on computer items received.   Clean, prepare, package sample glass.   Route sample glass to truck.   SDS match and label on all chemicals.   Complete HAZMAT labels, as needed.   Pull orders and cut material for shower door hardware.   Print tags and package shower door hardware for delivery.   Assist will call customers, as needed.      Set-up UPS/FED-EX outgoing deliveries.  Deliver paperwork to proper departments.   Prepare intercompany deliveries between glass and metal facilities.   Deliver and put away supplies by cart.    What We Are Looking For 3 years of overhead crane experience Perform work as assigned by supervisor Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels. Attach appropriate labels and tags to product and packages. Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure. Notify lead person or supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Maintain a safe and clean work area, Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight or more hours. Must be able to wear company issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision, Must be able to read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels.
