Summary:
The purpose of this position is to carry out assigned duties, primarily focused on material handling within the Packing department but support all departmental needs as business demands require.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Moves materials from packed staging area to shipping and storage area.
Returns empty pallets to packing area for reuse.
Performs daily maintenance and inspection of forklift.
Assist in loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
Assist in combing pallets to better utilize warehouse space.
Keeps always assigned work area clean.
Complete any other related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager.
Must be able to operate a side loader.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma/GED (minimum)
Preferred at least 6 months of packing department experience
Must have at least 1 year of past forklift or mobile equipment experience within a distribution or manufacturing environment
Good Computer Skills
Ability to recognize similarities and difference between profiles
Travel Requirements:
The travel required for this position is 1%.
