• Stacks correct number of cartons/trays on pallets/skids using correct stacking pattern. If applicable, utilize a pallet jack to move finished goods weighing up to 300lbs.
• Clears loose product from turntable/area; discards defective bags, boxes, trays; sweeps loose product off the floor.
• Assists with product rework according to plant expectations.

What you'll do?
The job involves repairing and refurbishing damaged pallets in a fast-paced production environment. The repairs must adhere to company and safety standards while ensuring speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. It is essential to meet and exceed daily production quotas while prioritizing safety at all times. Additionally, customer quality criteria must also be met.
Hours & Pay:
Monday - Thursday
5:00 am - 3:00 pm
Pay rate- $20.00 training rate and base rate.
Duties:
As a pallet builder, you will be responsible for visually inspecting pallets for defects such as broken boards and blocks, missing components, nail defects, debris, and contamination. You will need to correct defects that do not meet specification criteria.
Your tasks will also include removing damaged boards using a pry bar or hammer, using a reciprocating saw and grinder to cut or remove old and bent nails, and attaching appropriate boards according to company specifications using a pneumatic nail gun and hammer. Basic math skills will be required to perform tasks such as adding or subtracting the number of pallets repaired.
At the end of your shift, you will be responsible for restocking building supplies, cleaning the pallet repair area, and performing other duties as required. You may also be required to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts.
Must be 18+ years old
Basic tool knowledge is a plus
Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and flipping of 75-to-85-pound pallets.

Job Description
SCHEDULE: TUESDAY - SATURDAY; 7:00AM - 3:00PM
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB ACTIVITIES:
1. Your scheduled start time is: 6:55am, 2:55pm, or 10:55pm depending on your shift. You are allowed to punch in and report to your line 10 minutes prior to the start of your shift to ensure adequate communication for shift start up.
2. Be familiar with and follow safety rules and procedures including safety wear, lockout/tag out, and emergency procedures. Notify a supervisor or production trainer of any safety hazards, or safety suggestions.
3. Continually gain knowledge of the products and the production processes. Pack products according to specification sheets by following product specific instructions in detail.
4. Each employee is responsible for confirming their knowledge of the daily product requirements by reading the product specification sheet(s) and signing off on them at start-up of the product.
5. Continuously monitor the weights (where specified) of products ensuring that they are packed at the specified weights.
6. Accurately count and maintain counting multiples while packing products.
7. Visually inspect products to ensure they are free of defects. Alert line operator, shift supervisor, shift coordinator, or quality department personnel to product quality issues.
8. On external packaging materials, ensure correct tape and labels are used with appropriate positioning per the product specification sheet. MSDS sheets must be included when specified.
9. Ensure all products stacked on skids are properly positioned and correctly wrapped to the skid. Skid tags must be accurately and completely filled out.
10. Inform Material Handlers about production packaging needs well after packaging is needed. (This helps reduce downtime)
11. Perform specified quality checks as required.
12. Ensure the daily line packaging reports are completed accurately and completely by the end of the shift. Also make sure the appropriate batch sheet is completed. (If applicable)
13. Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean department and work environment throughout the shift.
14. Assist with the training of new personnel.
15. Be flexible in regard to working on multiple production lines on an as needed basis.
16. Perform duties as a team member by assisting coworkers as needed.
17. Perform overtime and other duties as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
EXPERIENCE Some production is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to maintain speed in picking of parts is required. Basic math skills are required.
