Summary: Responsible for all activities involving tray packing and bagging of product according to customer specifications. Accurately and consistently weighs product trays for vacuum pack bagging. Key Responsibilities: Assemble trays according to supervisor and lead instructions. Pack trays to specific pack size to customer specifications. Ensure scales are made properly each time before weighing trays. Weigh trays accurately following customer or supervisor's specifications and instructions. Place weighed trays following FIFO (first in- first out). Check each tray for quality prior to bagging. Ensure work station, knives, and trimming utensils are sanitized according to company specifications. Adhere to GMP procedures and protocols at all times. Communicate product or process discrepancies and potential discrepancies to Supervisor. Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Prior experience with the utilization of food processing equipment, scales, and trimming utensils is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Prior experience with food safety and sanitation procedures is preferred. Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Packing: Sort, inspect, and pack fresh produce into boxes, cartons, or crates according to company specifications and quality standards. Ensure correct labeling, weights, and counts on all packed products. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent product contamination Stacking: Safely stack packed cartons or crates onto pallets for storage or shipment. Wrap and secure pallets to ensure safe transport and minimize product damage. Follow stacking patterns to optimize space, air flow and maintain load stability. Dumping: Load and dump raw produce onto conveyors, hoppers, or processing lines. Monitor product flow and remove foreign materials or defective items. Ensure dumping is done safely to prevent bruising, damage, or product falling on the floor. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Prior experience in produce handling, warehouse, or food processing preferred, but not required (training provided). Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold storage and production areas). Strong attention to detail to maintain quality and food safety standards. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and bend frequently as required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English (Spanish bilingual a plus). Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and safety practices.
