Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma or equivalent, minimum eighteen years old, and be able to work well with their hands. Ability to judge colors is important. Working knowledge of different application techniques, proper care of tools and safe use and handling of paint, solvents, and adhesives. What you will do as a Painter
Operate Manual paint equipment and/or automated paint system, Record program settings in controllers, maintain records for paint inventory and daily operating parameters.

Record activity (number of parts and elapse times) on the Shop Floor Control System.
Produce quality components that meet all finish requirements as determined by Engineering by measuring paint thickness and visually inspecting parts.
Remain safety conscious at all times, wearing all prescribed safety equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job and observing all safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook.
Immediately report to your Supervisor any problems, discrepancies and/or irregularities related to job assignment.
Keep paint equipment and work area clean, neat and orderly on an ongoing and daily basis using 5S standards.
Complete any and all projects, assignments and duties as directed and instructed.
Conform to all policies, procedures and rules of conduct as communicated through the Employee handbook, Bulletin Boards, Newsletters and any other vehicle by which information is distributed by STERIS Management.
Meet pulmonary standards; pass annual testing requirements.
Lift and carry 30-40 lbs of materials periodically (4-7 times) during shift.
