Ensure proper testing procedures are used in compliance with contract specifications and maintain accurate records in accordance with AISC standards. Prepares fabricated products for shipment. Orders job applicable paint and supplies. Responsible for ensuring adherence to all company safety and OSHA regulations. Must maintain a thorough knowledge of company Quality Assurance and Safety Manuals. The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required. Qualifications High School diploma of equivalent with a certificate from Vo-Tech. Minimum of 5 years industrial surface preparation and coating experience. Must have 2 years supervisory experience in an industrial paint shop. Must have a thorough knowledge of sophisticated paint systems required in an AISC certified (with Paint Endorsement) steel fabrication shop. Must be able to read and comprehend fabrication drawings. Must have scheduling, supervisory and equipment maintenance experience. Must have working knowledge of AISC, AASHTO and SSPC standards. Must have the ability to effectively read a tape measure, work in fractions and meet deadlines. Good organizational skills required. Physical DemandsMust be able to lift at least 100 pounds. Job requires a considerable amount of climbing, pulling, pushing, crawling, bending and stooping, etc. Exposed to temperature fluctuations and loud noises. Requires overtime and weekend work. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.Safety Environmental Factors:All employees are expected to adhere to the companys safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
