Production Packer
The Packer is responsible for packaging food products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
Press switches and turn knobs to start machines to package products.
Observe and listen to equipment to detect possible malfunctions, such as leaks or plugging, and report malfunctions or undesirable tastes to supervisors.
Monitor lot numbers, expiration dates and/or manufacturing dates for each product.
Mark and label food products, using marking tools.
Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
Examine and inspect materials and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas.
Seal materials, using a case sealing machine and hand tools.
Clean materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
Move completed boxes from conveyor line and assemble a pallet of product.
Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually.
Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of food products.
Knowledge of arithmetic and reading and writing.
Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Position Summary:
This job leads the overall food safety and quality programs within the manufacturing pillar of Bonduelle Americas. The Manager, Corporate Food Safety and Quality is responsible for the development, oversight, and execution of the Food Safety and Quality programs at all internal BA manufacturing facilities and internal warehouses/3PLs. This position effectively collaborates with facility operations leadership and cross-functional departments to drive the food safety and quality metrics, compliance and continuous improvement in products and processes to meet internal, customer and regulatory requirements.
This role is a key part of BA's success by directing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of food safety and quality assurance systems, standards and programs to ensure the delivery of safe, wholesome, quality products to our customers nationally. What You'll Do
Lead and Develop the Team: Directly supervise a team of Food Safety and Quality professionals, including Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee Food Safety & Quality Systems: Manage all food safety and quality programs across internal manufacturing and warehousing sites - from raw material receipt through finished product delivery.
Establish and Maintain Programs: Develop, implement, and verify all produce-related food safety and quality policies, procedures, and records. Oversee programs related to training, change management, and document control (including version control, distribution, archival, retrieval, retention, and destruction).
Benchmark and Align Programs: Ensure Bonduelle's food safety and quality standards are aligned with broader corporate initiatives and benchmarked against industry best practices.
Audit Readiness & Leadership: Support facilities in maintaining audit readiness (SQF, Commercial Food Sanitation, customer, and regulatory audits) and serve as the Corporate lead during such audits.
Ensure Hygienic Design & Sanitation: Oversee hygienic design, traffic flow, sanitation programs, and environmental monitoring across all sites in accordance with CFS and regulatory requirements.

What you'll bring:
Experience & Education: 10+ years of supplier food safety experience within the food industry, or 5+ years with a master's degree in a related field. Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Regulatory Expertise: Strong understanding of food safety regulations (USDA, FDA, etc.) and familiarity with fresh produce standards preferred.

Position Summary:

Assigns and coordinates work assignments of the sanitation Technicians on the FDA area.
Notifies the Supervisor of food safety issues and of safety issues.
Is aware of use of all lock-out/tag-out procedures used in compliance with Cal-OSHA standards.
Completes performs cleaning duties as assigned by the Manager or other supervisors
Under no circumstance is the sanitation Technician allowed to clean bathrooms and or cafeteria when performing the functions in the USDA Rooms or the FDA Lines.
Technician shall use white hoses and used appropriately for cleaning process equipment only.
Assist with plant audits as needed.
Ensure security of all sanitation chemicals located on premises by limiting access and monitoring/preventing leaks, spills, etc.
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations.
Support all safety, food quality and sanitation initiatives and policy.
Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to vacuums, cleaning equipment and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Will follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) in order to clean equipment and facility at a microbiological level.
Will improve sanitation processes by reducing use of resources (i.e. water, wastewater, chemicals, labor) whenever possible.
