RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:
Customize client workout programs developed from the Initial Assessment
Utilize the Svetness Fitness App for all client sessions, including programming & session notes
Demonstrate each exercise and ensure client is performing correctly with or without modifications
Conduct client Reassessments every 4-6 weeks
Maintain client session appointments through Svetness scheduling software
Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments
Able to commute to and from client sessions up to 45 minutes
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Personal Trainer: Accredited by NCCA, DEAC, or NBFE.
CPR/AED Certification: Ensure clients' safety with up-to-date CPR/AED training.
Education and experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 1-3 years of personal training experience.
Strong communication skills: Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and technically.
Knowledgeable in nutrition: Possess a basic understanding of nutrition and healthy living practices.
Fitness expertise: Familiarity with a variety of exercise equipment and personal training methods.
Physical ability: Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs. and performing athletic calisthenics duties.
Requirements for this position include the possession of personal basic training equipment to effectively assist clients in achieving their goals. It is important to note that clients may not always have access to the necessary equipment.

Job Description/General Function
Wellness center coaches are responsible for aiding participants in achieving their well-being goals in a group or individual setting as indicated by the Healthy Living Coordinator. They will instruct members and guests in the safe and effective use of a wide variety of cardio and fitness equipment, monitor the orderly operation of the wellness center, and enforce wellness center rules. Having superb relationship skills, attention to detail, and follow-through are required. Basic computer skills are also necessary. A wellness center coach should be self-motivated and able to complete daily cleaning tasks. A wellness center coach should also serve as a champion of a healthy lifestyle.
Responsibilities
Establishes rapport with members, learns, and uses names, creates a welcoming atmosphere
Knows how the cardio and weight machines function
Conduct orientations to teach others the proper and safe way to use equipment
Conduct data collection by calling members that have completed orientations. Will connect with supervisor to report out-of-order equipment, new member comments, cleaning schedule, and other pertinent information
Maintain general knowledge of all YMCA programs and events
Work effectively in a team environment and independently
Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations
Enforcing wellness center rules
Promote volunteer recruitment and retention
Basic cleaning of wellness center and helping with laundry as needed
Adheres to dress code policy
Ensures upkeep of related facilities and equipment
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Basic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology is needed
Computer literate
Self-motivated
Ability to relate to and engage with health seekers
Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations
Ability to relate well and communicate effectively to a diverse group of individuals, in all circumstances
Pass a comprehensive background check
High school diploma or equivalent
Be 18 years of age or older
Have current CPT and first-aid certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Additional Expectations and Duties
Attends staff meetings and trainings as required and complete all online trainings which include child abuse prevention training within 7 days of hire
Upholds YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting, and risk management. Adheres to policies to boundaries with youths
Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations in accordance with mandated reporting requirements
Responsible for general housekeeping tasks to ensure the workspace is always clean
Submits hours worked accurately on the electronic timecard, within timelines for supervisor approval
Passion for high standards and beliefs in the YMCA mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility
Flexible schedule as needed as on occasion may need to work evenings and/or weekends
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Customer Service/Front Desk Activities:

Check members into the system.
New member sign-up.
Take prospective members on tours.

Assist members with beverage or merchandise purchases.
Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:
Go above and beyond to keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
Regular facility cleaning and upkeep such as mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
Regular cleaning of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
Regular restroom and wet area cleaning and stocking.
Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
Nationally Certified Training Certificate (required).
Current CPR Certification (required).
Certifications (Preferred): NASM/ ACSM/ ACE/NCSF/ISSA.
High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

THE ROLE & SCHEDULE
We are looking for coaches with an athletic or coaching background who ideally have experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old
KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum
Ideal candidates must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind the KidStrong curriculum
Our classes run typically weekdays 9am -11am and evenings 3pm until 7 pm, and weekends are typically from 8am through 3:30pm
Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on center needs.
Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required!
COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Ensure cleanliness of the center
Effectively use the KS Coach's App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
Communicate professionally with co-workers
Complete trainings as directed
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next' month's curriculum
Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Management
(Optional) Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp - special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum
Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics
CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
