The primary role of the NDE Technician is to provide Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) support for manufacturing processes such as welding and machining. Additionally, the technician will assist in the development of NDT procedures and techniques, administer training, and aid in the certification of NDT personnel. Responsibilities + Provide NDT support for manufacturing processes including welding and machining. + Assist Level III personnel in developing NDT procedures and techniques. + Administer training and certification for NDT personnel. + Perform radiographic, ultrasonic, visual, and penetrant testing. + Document inspection results and maintain strong documentation skills. + Inspect structural components with a focus on welding inspection. + Collaborate with team members and government customers on-site. Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information in plan sets prior to takeoff. Quality Assurance & Verification QA all quantities by cross-checking plans, profiles, details, and specifications. Flag scope gaps, assumptions, or risk items for estimator review. Documentation & Deliverables Generate clear, organized quantity summaries for estimators. Archive takeoff files for post-bid reference and historical cost analysis. Collaboration & Support Work closely with estimators to clarify scope, quantities, and bid priorities.
