Job Responsibilities

Overview

Qualifications

As a pharmacy technician, kindness and fairness are key as you use your customer service skills in patient interactions. Attention to detail is important to you, so you can accurately dispense prescriptions to patients. Responsibilities include:
* Retrieves medication from shelves, counts medication, and labels containers under direct supervision of pharmacist on duty
* Enters data, including patient demographics, medication information and directions on patient profile in database
* Receives written prescriptions from patients and verifies information on prescription is complete
* Processes confidential information in a professional manner in accordance with state and federal laws
You will be primarily based at our Mattina, 300 Niagara St., Buffalo, NY 14201.

Education and Skills:
* Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification, preferred
* CPR certification required and must be maintained
* High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation: Starting rate $21-$24 per hour.
