ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Receives coversheet and assigned cart for each series of orders, logs onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. Moves the cart through the product bin aisles and picks the corresponding products from product bins, places the correct product and quantity into the cart, placing small items into bags or bands together for easier identification. * Verifies product during the picking process and may verify during the packing process. * May maintain daily individual production records, which are reviewed by the supervisor, by writing down the time particular tasks are performed. * After completing the cart, returns cart to staging area and may begin the process of packing the customer orders by verifying products selected for customer orders and checking off as appropriate on packing lists. * Selects appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment to avoid the bending, crushing, or shifting of items during delivery. Packs all orders neatly and correctly in a box to ensure quality. This involves packing glass items appropriately in bubble wrap, placing small items in a bag, and placing all liquids in a bag, and packing the standing upright. Follows proper packing procedures. * Reports any error in product selection or quality to appropriate team member or area and/or corrects the order as necessary before shipment. * Sends along conveyor system to the appropriate location for packing material to be added and the boxes to be sealed, then places packed customer orders on conveyor system to takes to appropriate location for shipment. Special orders are processed using the special order process. * Disposes of empty boxes and packaging appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions. * Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. What You'll Do The Warehouse Worker will increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by accurately loading trucks with customer orders to be delivered next day. Load trucks according to manifests provided Ensure accuracy of products loaded on trucks Work as a team to load trucks in a timely manner Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to appropriate personnel Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel Assist in keeping facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards Willing to work some overtime when needed Other duties as assigned Required for Success One year previous warehouse experience Minimum 6 months successful forklift and pallet jack experience Ability to read and operate hand-held RF scan device and use Warehouse Management System Ability to count accurately on a repetitive basis Ability to operate a fork lift and pallet jack Physically able to lift, carry, move etc. products up to 75 pounds regularly and heavier items occasionally Ability to communicate successfully with leads, supervisors, coworkers and customers as required Self-motivated and willing to work with others Be detail-oriented and able to work independently Able to perform in a fast-paced environment Why You'll Love Us: This is a full-time position which includes a competitive wage and our full benefits package. Multiple Shifts Available Operative jobs duties include picking, packing, returns and loading/unloading trucks manually. You will rotate and be cross trained in all departments. Positions & brief description: Shipping: Loading trucks, will be 40 lbs lifting consistently. Returns: Sticking labels on boxes, lighter lifting compared to most other positions - may not have many temps in this position due to credit card/customer information. Picking: Picking shoes from boxes, scanning code, putting in boxes. Need to be focused, have attention to detail skills, and be able to work on a computer efficiently. Receiving: Unloading trucks, putting boxes onto conveyor belt - this will be the most physical position with lifting and moving a lot. Packing: Checking shoes that are in box to ensure they match the label and putting label into boxes. This can become a fast-paced job as there will be multiple boxes coming down the line at a time. Lidding: Cutting off excess box lid that is not done by the machine and taking to top lid off of boxes, throwing lid into trash bin. Manuel Order Start: Where we have someone manually scan orders to a totes for small batch orders. We have temps at times help with making the small cartons for it, or pre-label the small cartons with our LP label before the cartons are made up. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk/stand continuously Ability to pull/pick product from cartons including scanning and placing them into another carton (requires turning, bending, reaching, grasping) Ability to pack, wrap, band, and label product/cartons including turning to collect air pillows, labels and other supplies/materials (requires turning, bending, reaching, stooping) Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, moving/lifting skids, lifting and moving, stacking, loading cartons with or without the use of a hand jack. (requires lifting at waist level, lifting at ground level, lifting at over the shoulder level; bending, stooping, grasping) Ability to see, read, and comprehend content on labels and shipping paperwork.
