What you'll be doing:
As a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following two areas:
Warehouse Inventory Control: You will review inventory of product, reconcile inventory discrepancies, identify delivery shortages, and maintain inventory records to minimize discrepancies. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
Warehouse Clerk: You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages. You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.
Please note, as an SC3 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 or SC2 roles, as needed.
You will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.

Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
An ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
Must wear safety composite work shoes.
Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
Must be at least 18 years old.

What we need:
Natco is seeking a team-oriented Shipping and Receiving Order Picker to join our Warehouse and Shipping Department. This is a full-time day shift position based on-site at our West Warwick, RI corporate headquarters and union eligible after 60 days of employment. The primary function of this role will be to read incoming orders and select correct items from the warehouse shelves to fulfill deliveries and to stock inventory as well as handload and unload rugs into trailers. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle the physical demands of lifting heavy materials up to 100 lbs. Must also be a highly motivated individual with a willingness to make an active contribution to the team's success.
What you'll do:
Collect and prepare orders for shipment according to assigned picklist and customer requirements; ensuring product information is accurate and labels match the items as well as the quantity
Manage and update stock inventory to fill warehouse shelves with finished products
Inspect shipments and inform the supervisor of any damages, defects, or losses
Label and ship products in accordance with customers packing guidelines
Operate a shrink wrap machine
Hand Load and unload rugs into trailers
Assist with keeping the warehouse area clean and free of obstruction to maintain a safe work area
Assist with any other duties or tasks assigned by the Supervisor
What you'll have:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Over one year of work-related skills, knowledge, and experience preferred (training available)
Ability to speak English preferred
Basic reading and writing skills required
Ability to listen and comprehend information and ideas through spoken and written words required
Basic math and computer skills required
Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems and/or SCE (Supply Chain Execution) Systems preferred (training available)
Ability to handle and lift material and rugs up to 100 lbs.
Ability to climb heights up to 30 feet using a harness required
Current and valid Driver's License required
Forklift experience preferred (forklift driving possible upon certification)

Perform various duties to receive palletized cartons of soles and heels from Finishing department, enter data into computer, print and apply labels, store stock items and stage customers' orders for shipment following standard established methods and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
1. Receive pallets of cartons, identify by item code number and store or stage in appropriate location. Enter item code number and size into computer terminal for outstanding order display on JDE. Select order to be filled by due date and enter data into computer to produce required gummed labels. Separate, apply labels to cartons and segregate cartons to various customers' orders and ship dates or for stock.
2. Operate BT's or forklift to move pallets of cartons within the department. Operate shrink wrap machine to automatically wrap full skids in preparation for shipping.
3. Store inventory items on racks in appropriate locations and pull from racks as orders are received. Respond to handwritten notes to override computerized orders or information. Check to confirm counts of cartons on all skids prior to shipment.
4. Observe and report any equipment malfunction, questionable computer data, material or other problems to the supervisor. Observe all safety rules, regulations and practices. Employ all safety equipment and devices. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
5. Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement of the job.

Accurately pull and prepare customer orders for shipping and for efficient loading onto trucks/trailers.
Check all information for accurate shipment of customer orders; check bills of lading for accuracy before any product is shipped or received; check products for cleanliness and condition prior to loading.
Use computer to accurately scan or enter/maintain inventories and records.
Complete daily pick sheets, cycle counts, and production take backs
Assist with monthly inventory counts, year-end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required.
Monitor materials, product, and equipment at each step of the process and report irregularities or concerns to supervisor.
May sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units
May mark or put identifying labels on product loads.
May operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load and unload trucks and move inventory from one location to another.
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
Follow all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues.
