The Contractor must have the ability to analyze the results of various medical procedures and translate them into appropriate nursing interventions. The Contractor interviews patients, family members, and others to appropriately determine triage classification: determines and evaluates appropriate interventions for patients in life threatening situations. The Contractor administers therapeutic measure as prescribed by the provider including mediations, intravenous fluids, blood products, respirator treatments, assist with various procedures i.e. splinting, sutures, preparing the patient, assisting during the procedure and evaluating patient outcomes post-procedures. The Contractor imitates and participated in patient education. Provides counseling and teaching to patients and families or surrogates on preventive, curative and rehabilitative measures involved in health care. Inter-Facility Transports Work Schedule: The Supervisor at each IHS facility shall determine specific tour of duty. The contractor shall work 100% of the contracted hours.
