Perform Ionic contamination testing.
Perform X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) testing.
Prepare testing samples and perform analytical testing to check chemical concentration based on Truechem schedule.
Record and maintain PAL, Log, and test results. Review lab results and consult with the Manager and Process Engineer if any addition, new make-up, or bailout is needed.
Perform routine scheduled Chemical PMs which include the removal of spent baths, spent rinse water baths and the makeup of fresh baths (per instructions) and rinse baths.
Keep inventory of chemicals and all other laboratory supplies and equipment.
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment.
Assist Wastewater Treatment Department as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.

What You'll Do
As our new Water Treatment Operator, you will:
* Monitor, inspect, and operate ion exchange Granular Activated Charcoal (GAC) ground water treatment plants involving nitrate, perchlorate, and tricloropropane (TCP) removal.
* Monitor Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and make necessary adjustments to maintain an adequate supply of water and pressure.
* Inspect, repair, and maintain automatic control systems, liquid level controls, automatic pumps, control valves, check valves, globe valves, gate valves, oil and air filters, fuses, circuit breakers, probes, circuits, relays, time delays, coils, switches, bearings, packings, mechanical seals, oil lines, drippers, and gauges.
* Perform a variety of preventive maintenance on pumps and pump motor equipment; inspect pumping operations and make adjustments as necessary, perform maintenance and repair work on pump buildings and facilities.
* Calculate chemical feed and dosage at the treatment plant and make necessary adjustments to ensure water is safe for consumption.
