    P&K Stone LLC is looking for highly motivated Aggregate Plant Operators to bolster our Production Team. In this position you will have the opportunity to work in a high paced, performance driven environment with a proven team that is both capable and knowledgeable in High-Volume Aggregates Production. This opening will be a swing shift from 2:30 pm to 12 midnight. Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures. This position will operate the crusher as well as monitor conveyor belts and related equipment conveyance equipment. Manually Operate the crushing and screening equipment operation. Visually observe and monitor gauges and of all equipment while in operation to maintain proper flow of material on belts, crushers, and screens. Maintain strong communications with all other plant employees to ensure efficient and safe workflow from quarry to crusher. Identify appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications. Communicate with quality control and management personnel and assist in making required adjustments to material blends. Perform routine maintenance on conveyor belts and crushing equipment including splicing, replacing idlers, pulleys, drive belts, bearings, changing of screens, cleaning, and lubrication. Shut down equipment as required in the event of an emergency, blockages, or end of shift; coordinate/assist in required repairs. Operate telehandlers, skid steers and/or any other required equipment needed to perform the task at hand. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; MSHA Part 46 training a plus. Any other duties as assigned by Management. Responsibilities include the efficient operation and maintenance of the university's central utility plant equipment, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of heating and air-conditioning systems. Work is performed under general supervision and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Supervisor, Power Plant Operations/ and or Maintenance Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following: * Performs supplemental support shift work in rotation with other personnel as needed for plant operation (i.e., 2:00pm to 10:00pm shift). * Operates chill water plant on rotating shift. * Inspects and examines heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning, chillers, boilers, air compressors, heat exchangers, and all auxiliary equipment to locate defects in operations. * Adds chemicals to boilers, cooling towers, chiller, etc. * Monitors and updates the Energy Management Controls System. * Performs preventive maintenance, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, adjusts, repairs and replaces rotating equipment (pumps, motors, etc., and associated units, parts, systems, etc. * Services cold storage units, refrigerated air conditioning units, water coolers, and controls. * Disassembles units and restores to operating condition; repairs or replaces condensers, compressors, pumps, valves, motors, bearings, belts and other parts. * Recovers and recharges refrigerants as required; performs preventive maintenance on cooling towers and evaporative condensers. * Inspects and tests refrigeration systems, safety devices, and controls for efficiency of operation and compliance with safety practices, laws and regulations. * Troubleshoots and take necessary corrective action for major malfunctions and breakdowns of heating/refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, pumps, air heating/refrigeration and air conditioning units, coils, fans, subsystems and component parts, steam systems, etc. * Documents any corrective action taken or changes made by altering electrical schematics. * Observes prescribed work and safety rules. ADDITIONAL DUTIES * Orders parts and supplies as needed. * May assist with and/or direct work of others on assigned projects. * Prepares and submits reports. * Performs other duties as requested. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school preferred. State certification preferred. EXPERIENCE Three years of central plant or HVAC-R experience. Job related vocational training or other education may substitute on a year for year basis for the required experience or graduation from a certified technical/vocation school. REQUIREMENTS Freon recovery certification and/or the ability to be certified within six months of date of employment. Valid Texas driver's licenses and a safe driving record such as required by the university for Driver's Authorization. The Role: In this role, you will support our Control Room Operations for green bean receiving, roasting, grinding, quality assurance, sanitation and general housekeeping, and preventive maintenance. We are looking for individuals who have the flexibility to work varying shifts, as shift times and patterns can change based on business needs. We are currently hiring for the below shifts: Continental Day Shift: 6:00am - 6:30pm Continental Night Shift: 6:00pm - 6:30am What you get to do: Operate multi-function process control machinery through control panels , computer terminals and other control systems to roast, grind, and package food products. Observe gauges, computer printouts and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments to process variables such as roasting times, ingredient inputs, flow rates and temperature settings. Assist Control Room Operator in scheduling of receiving, roasting and grinding including quality parameters, managing bins to maximize capacity and production efficiency. Communicate issues in control room to Control Room Operator and other departments as necessary. Perform master sanitation, housekeeping, rework, and preventative maintenance duties as needed. Assist Control Room Operator with thermal cleaning of roaster, cleaning of pelletizer, and dust collection system cleaning. Coordinate and participate in changeovers of all types. Make minor repairs and/or adjustments to equipment as needed. Perform all quality assurance requirements and documentation including but not limited to color, moisture, density, grind analysis, and calibration of equipment. Perform and document all necessary HACCP checks. Provide relief to green bean operators when needed. Document film usage, rejected materials and rework. Verify case counts at the completion of a run. What you bring to the role: Proficient in roasting and grinding operations. Overall knowledge of control room operations and sequence of events. Familiarity with process control machines and computer systems (i.e. PLC, SCADA, MES, sensors). Ability to quickly assess situations and make decisions under pressure (i.e. respond to control system alarms and alerts). Ability to follow written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Proficient mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
