WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH * Using computer or manual controls, efficiently batches aggregates with proper mix and making necessary raw material adjustments as directed by the QC department. Understands the proper use of each mix design. * Responsible for the day-to-day plant maintenance which includes: manual lifting, shoveling, lubrication of plant components and minor plant adjustments * Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. * Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customers. * Effectively communicates with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency * Perform daily plant and equipment inspections * Able to prioritize work * Work with plant management to identify problems and potential problems that need to be addressed * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental legislation, regulations, and company policies and procedures * Report any unsafe condition, accidents or incidents to supervisor immediately * Perform other duties as required/assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Strong knowledge and experience in operating portable crusher, scenes, conveyors etc. * Plant Maintenance experience such as screen and liner changes is desired. * Must have a valid driver's license * Ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision * Basic computer and basic mathematics skills * Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required * Physical requirements: * Sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time * Climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed * Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions) and enclosed spaces * Work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions. * Must be willing to work overtime as needed * Bilingual communications skills are a plus. The Plant Operator is essential to maintaining the efficiency and safety of production operations. Responsibilities include handling and monitoring chemicals and accurately recording data. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment issues, adhering to safety and quality regulations, and working collaboratively with team members to enhance production efficiency. The position demands physical endurance and a commitment to safety, with the need to work flexible shifts, including nights and peak seasons. Duties/Responsibilities: * Load and unload railcars, trucks, and tankers applicable to the plant's operations. * Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in production processes. * Accurately record information such as ingredients, weights, and temperatures, and input data into the database. * Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes. * Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations including proper use of protective gear (i.e. PPE) * Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns. * Assist in planning and improving processes and product quality. * Work effectively with team members to ensure efficient production operations. * Complete required training (i.e. Lyons trainings). * Ability to work collaboratively to improve processes and product quality in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. * Be willing to work flexible shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts, during peak seasons. * Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
