PRH is looking for a team member to join our Culinary Services Department that will fill the role Ware Washer/Front of House. This position is a 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) with shifts varying between 7AM-2PM, 8AM-3PM, every third weekend, and one holiday per year.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Ware Washer is responsible for the washing of all cafeteria, patient tray, and kitchen dishes. They will also assist the cooks with patient order preparation including tray assembly, answer phone calls and take orders, stocking of snacks on nursing units using proper stock rotation, and serving visitors in the cafeteria. They will deliver patient trays in a professional and customer friendly manner. They will maintain a clean and safe environment following the safety guidelines set by Prairie Ridge Health (PRH), State and Federal regulations.
The Front of House Specialist's primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience for all café guests. This includes being a welcoming presence, being a role model for the Prairie Ridge Health (PRH) service excellence standards, keeping all café and servery items stocked after, during and after service, keeping all customer facing spaces clean and sanitary after, during and after service, and other tasks as assigned. They will maintain a clean and safe environment following the safety guidelines set by Prairie Ridge Health, Inc., State and Federal regulations. The FOH Specialist completes all cleaning and sanitation tasks as assigned. They participate in patient and cafeteria order entry using the respective computer software, use the cash register, make change, answer phones and serve in the cafeteria. The Front of House Specialist also staffs the kitchen as Cold Cook every other weekend and may be required to maintain competence and staff the department as Culinary Ambassador as assigned. The Cold Cook is responsible for the preparation of food for patients and the cafeteria menu. They will pre-dish patient food items and assemble patient trays. The Cook is also responsible for sanitation, upkeep of the food service/culinary dept., and making sure that all food safety and quality standards are followed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics or related field
Completed an accredited intern program
Valid certification in the State of Wisconsin as a Dietitian (CD) or temporary certification if RD eligible for the first 90 days of employment.
If the candidate is a Registered Dietitian but does not hold a valid certification in the state of Wisconsin, they must have a pending application for certification with the state of Wisconsin at their employment start date.
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD), or RD Eligible with earned RD credential within 90 days of employment. Temporarily certified, certification pending and/or RD eligible staff will have all work supervised and/or co-signed by a RD-CD.
The RD is responsible for completing, documenting and submitting all required continuing education credits for maintenance of credentialing.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is the financial liaison between the patient and Prairie Ridge Health (PRH). This position includes researching and verifying insurance eligibility and benefit information; communicating and explaining all patient/guarantor financial balances; and counseling toward resolution of any patient/guarantor financial obligations. Resolution includes securing appropriate payments or payment plan arrangements, screening and connecting the patient with other Federal or State assistance programs or completing and obtaining approval of the patient's Community Care application. This position also includes pre-registering scheduled outpatient procedures and acting as a resource for the Patient Access staff.
EDUCATION EQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required
Previous experience with health insurance (familiarity with terminology; understanding of coverage and benefits), collection techniques, or patient registration.
Intermediate word processing proficiency required. This includes the ability to: produce quality and professional appearing letters, forms, and tables; as well as memos and e-mails.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (or another spreadsheet software) required. This includes the ability to: import data from external sources; create daily and monthly logs and summary reports; insert simple formulas; and manipulate the design and appearance of worksheets.
Ability to calculate basic math and algebraic equations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, medical office staff and other PRH employees.
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education highly preferred.
Must demonstrate professionalism, assertiveness in requesting payments and exceptional customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving skills required to coordinate multiple resources.
Must posses the ability to work both independently with minimal direction, as well as a team member.
Preferred
Certified Patient Account Technician or Certified Healthcare Collection Specialist.
