Assists in training and mentoring new professional and peer tutors. 5. Attends training and professional development sessions as required and maintains competency in training materials provided by the Tutoring Center and other College staff. 6. Maintains appropriate competency in content area(s) as well as maintaining computer literacy and technology skills. 7. Helps monitor equipment (hardware & software); documents and reports issues to designated management in a timely manner. 8. Answer phones, greets, and assists visitors, and performs routine clerical tasks. 9. Related projects and initiatives as assigned. 1. Ability to tutor at the 200-course level or above. Submission of unofficial transcripts are required. 2. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; prior database or instructional technology experience preferred 3. Enrollment Services Student Ambassador: (3 available, 20hrs/wk) This position assists current and future OCC students in the HUB lobby and provides backup for HUB technicians, leads campus tours, and provides customer service through a variety of mediums. Financial Aid Office Assistant: (3 available, 20hrs/wk) This position assists families with FAFSA completion, communicates via phone call to families about important deadlines, and serves as a first point of contact for visitors to the Financial Aid office. Human Resources Office Assistant: (1 available, 20hrs/wk): This position helps support the Human Resources Office by performing basic front office tasks, such as greeting visitors to the office, answering phones, and assisting with booking rooms for employee training sessions. Planetarium Box Office Worker: (1 available, 20hrs/wk) This position provides exceptional customer service to patrons by assisting with advance ticket sales and day-of-event sales. They will utilize the CRM system to sell tickets, update patron information, and run daily reports. Requirements: Written and verbal communication skills, ability to quickly learn new computer-based software, availability to work some night and weekend hours. Peer Tutoring Center Office Assistant (3 available, 20hrs/wk): This position provides light secretarial support at the Tutoring Center, handles phone calls, and ensures that students are directed to use our tracking system and that the appropriate level of service is provided. Peer Language Support (4 available, 20hrs/wk): This position provides face-to-face and virtual academic support to students in a language other than English. Science Lab Assistant: (3 available, 20hrs/wk) This position assists with maintenance and cleaning of science labs and adjoining prep rooms and assists with the weekly preparation of lab experiments.
