Your seat at the table: Machine Operator Skilled - 1st Shift
Salary: $23.40/hour
Job Type: Full Time
Skilled Machine Operators are responsible in the production process of making high quality cookware. In this seat you'll set up and operate auto feeders (buffers and draw presses), rotary and single head sanders, hydraulic presses, hilite sunray machines and brazers. You'll also quick-change draw presses, impact presses and machines which apply satin or edge finish to a variety of parts and also polishes oil cores.
You will love this seat if you get, want, and have the capacity to:
Starts up machinery required for production.
Makes ready, installs, positions, adjusts, aligns, and removes all tooling, and other parts and fittings required to operate machines such as listed above, also changes belts, finishing wheels, etc.
Makes final and in-process adjustments to assure quality requirements are met.
Holds part against wheel and manipulates part so as to achieve the proper satin/polish finish or finishes sanding process using belt or disc sander.
Operates machines by loading and unloading mandrels, dies and chucks. Machines are generally activated by pressing buttons.
Maintains equipment and tooling and takes appropriate corrective action if required.
Checks products for flaws, scratches, proper finish, and other defects and performs minor lubrication.
Refills coolant tank and operates oil fill station to fill oil cores.
Moves material to and from the work area.
Keeps a clean and safe work area.
Maintain washers.
