**OFFSET PRESSOPERATOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED**
Operates Offset Press to produce "Best In Class" packaging for domestic and international use.
The role of this person is full commitment to excellence in OHSE and

Responsibilities:
Operates Offset Press Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:
Operate offset press, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
Makes ready and operates web or sheet fed offset printing press to print single and multicolor copy from lithographic plates. Examines job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions. Measures plate thickness and inserts packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height and installs and locks plate into position, using hand tools, to achieve pressure required for printing. Washes plate to remove protective gum coating. Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock. Fills ink and dampening solution fountains and adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder. Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density. Removes and cleans plate and cylinders. May apply packing sheets to blanket cylinder to build up blanket thickness to diameter of plate cylinder.

Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.

Responsibilities:
Operates Offline Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:
Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.
Oversee General technicians working on equipment.
Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.
Requirements
High School diploma (or GED)
Minimum of 3 years of offline Die Cutting experience in the folding carton industry
Experience with die cutters that have blanking capability
Basic computer and mathematical skills (computing percentages, weights and measures)
Ability to operate Die Cutter machines, troubleshoot, and monitor operations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs
Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
Use of close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and good eye-hand coordination.
Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.

Makes ready and operates web or sheet fed offset printing press to print single and multicolor copy from lithographic plates. Examines job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions. Measures plate thickness and inserts packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height and installs and locks plate into position, using hand tools, to achieve pressure required for printing. Washes plate to remove protective gum coating. Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock. Fills ink and dampening solution fountains and adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder. Starts press, examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper and registration, and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density. OHSE AND CLEAN:
Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE and Clean policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
• Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate personal protective equipment at all times while in designated areas and specific tasks requiring the use of PPE.
Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.
On a regular basis, examines work areas to keep it in a safe and neat condition.

Requirements:
High School diploma (or GED).

Physical Demands:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.
Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
Must be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.

Detailed Description
Responsible for overall maintaining of a production line, including starting and stopping of some equipment (palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers). No mechanical work is performed without prior approval.
Responsible for accurately completing and updating information forms and logs such as Machine Report, Quality Report, Downtime Report and Carton Top Load Report.
Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
Housekeeping: maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production, including the break rooms and rest rooms. Bale plastic, cardboard and contaminated bottles when needed; grind bottles when needed.
Raw materials: keep bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, tray and pallet wraps (plastic rolls) and pallet glue for hot melt tanks in adequate amounts to ensure continuous smooth running of equipment and operation.
Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately filling out hourly inspection sheets based on overall production quality. Responsible for reporting all quality defects.
Ability to work in all assigned areas of production; perform relief duties when required.
Stack, tie and label unused carton; troubleshoot minor production line issues; perform relief duties.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
