Job Summary
The Senior PCB Design Engineer and Altium Librarian is primarily responsible for management of the QSC Altium libraries, as well as the layout of complex printed circuit boards including digital, analog, mixed signal, and high-power technologies. The candidate must have well-developed competency in PCB design & manufacturing and must have previous experience designing 2-12-layer PCBs with flat & hierarchical schematics.
By joining the QSC team, you will own the library management and PCB layout processes, and work with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers and project leaders to ensure designs are on schedule with high quality and reliability. You will also work collaboratively with the design engineering team at multiple USA locations and internationally. This position is full-time onsite at the Q-SYS offices in Ft Wayne, IN, Costa Mesa, CA, or Boulder, CO, and is not eligible for remote work.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
1. Manage all activities associated with ECAD library management and PCB layout design.
2. Design PCB layout for a range of products within the audio, video, and control industry.
3. Work collaboratively with the design engineering team in multiple domestic and international locations.
4. Work with the NPI team in USA and internationally to ensure PCB release documentation is complete and improve product manufacturability both at QSC manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites.
5. Provide engineering support for product sustaining due to EOL components and materials.
6. Define technical and program direction, priorities, and processes necessary to support the manufacture of products and the improvement of manufacturing processes.
7. Work with the manager and senior team members in Hardware Engineering to develop, track, and communicate tasks to meet timing and feature/quality objectives for new product development and sustaining engineering projects.
8. Work closely with New Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering.
9. The candidate will also work directly with PCB fabricators on technical questions and fabrication issues and will be responsible for mentoring junior designers.
10. Participate in design reviews and provide design feedback to peers and design partners.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education (minimum education required)
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
1. B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
2. 5+ years of work experience designing, building, testing analog and digital circuits and related subsystems, ideally in commercial or professional video or audio/video markets.
3. Must have extensive experience with schematic design, footprint/library creation (both SMT & thru-hole components) using IPC Standards, PCB layout using manual routing for multilayer boards, thorough knowledge of SMT packages, generation of design files, involvement in complete documentation package including BOMs, fabrication and assembly drawing.
4. Experience working with Altium, Cadence Allegro, and Hyperlynx for Signal Integrity preferred.
5. Extensive understanding of PCB stack-up requirements based on design complexity and design requirements.
6. Experience is preferred with DDRx, PCIe, MIPI, LVDS interfaces, audio/video, cameras, LCDs, HDMI, PoE, and familiar with transmission line concepts.
7. Experience in DFA, DFM, DFT and EMI - EMC standards as well as processes and design implementation.
8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills: issue identification, resolution, providing mentorship and guidance to team members.
9. Ability to work in an environment where processes and standards may not be well defined, and to develop and define those standards when required.

Position Summary: The Facilities Engineer for our Clinical Trial Distribution facility (K401), directs and supervises a small but growing team for all engineering, technical process improvements, warehouse maintenance, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), and security activities required to support facility operations, maintain stabilization, and promote optimization. The role is responsible for maintaining required GMP temperature data and monitoring systems that are auditable by external agencies. They lead and oversee K401's required technical building upgrades and repairs, plus a $15M technology modernization project. This project includes AS/RS upgrades plus process automation and optimization. The Facility Engineer chair's the local Safety Committee, report to and sit on the Clinical Supply and Delivery (CSD) Safety Committee, and as such, are instrumental in the success of the safety culture. Working cross functionally, the Associate Director Engineer excels at relationship building at all levels of the organization. The Facilities Engineer develops, maintains, and leverages a diverse network of outside service providers to support all critical facility needs within the scope of responsibility.

Lead and execute complex large-scale projects with inherent risk and resource constraints
