Key Responsibilities
Perform assembly operations by following standard work instructions or verbal guidance
Use gauges and indicators to check component dimensions and part quality
Identify and report product or workmanship defects
Change simple parts and fixtures to support product changeovers
Record data to support production, quality, and materials tracking
Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles
Comply with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 quality and environmental standards
Proactively support continuous improvement efforts
Communicate equipment or process issues to support staff or leadership
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior experience in manufacturing or equipment assembly preferred
Comfortable working in a team environment with production targets
Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions and complete reports
Basic math skills required
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
Must be able to frequently bend, lift (up to 40 lbs), and stand for long periods
Visual acuity (with correction) to read instructions and inspect parts
Must pass pre-employment assessments and background checks

Physical Requirements
Frequently walking and using hands to handle parts or tools
Occasional sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, or reaching
Regularly lifting up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs

Plant-based manufacturing setting
Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hat, and steel-toe shoes required in designated areas

Job Description:
The person hired for the position of Production Operator will work at our Cynthiana, KY plant site.
As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Complying with all safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe work area
Monitoring product quality and adhering to quality standards.
Verifying process inputs and outputs according to operating standards
Conducting small scale, hands-on equipment changeovers
Collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and operations staff to troubleshoot equipment downtime/quality and implement solutions.
Engaging in continuous improvement of our manufacturing and administrative processes
Producing and assembling products in the plant.
Operating and maintaining low impact automated, semi-automated, and manual machinery
Ensuring production standards are met, finalizing products, and preparing products for shipping.
Operating a pallet jack style hand-truck and similar material handling equipment for loading/unloading pallets into & out of equipment
Working across departments with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Quality to promote information sharing, problem solving & assisting others
Required: (Basic Qualifications)
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start.
Ability to work shift rotations (overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.)

Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
Post-secondary education
Experience with Microsoft Office
