**Summary**

This position is at the modeling and simulation group, Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Genentech. We are seeking for a highly motivated full-time summer intern to apply advanced modeling and simulation techniques including translational modeling and quantitative systems pharmacology/toxicology modeling to enable quantitative translation of literature, in vitro and preclinical data to inform the drug design, clinical dosing regimen and optimal therapeutic windows of therapeutic agents.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site.
The Opportunity
During the project, the intern will become familiar with Genentech's workflow for quantitative systems pharmacology / toxicology (QSP/QST) model development and its contributions to clinical drug development key decision making.
This research project is aiming for building physiological-based pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) and QSP/QST models to enable translation of in vitro and preclinical pharmacology / toxicology data for informing the drug design and clinical dosing regimen.
The models will be primarily implemented in MATLAB (SimBiology toolbox) and associated toolboxes (e.g, Global optimization, Parallel Computing toolboxes) for model development, parameter estimation and virtual population simulation.
Having hands-on experience for systems biology / pharmacology modeling, proficiency in MATLAB programming and a strong understanding of immunology are required. Proficiency in other programming languages (e.g., R, Python, Julia, Mathematica) and PK/PD modeling tools (e.g., Monolix) are nice to have.
The summer intern is expected to give a formal presentation at the end of the program and organize key research documents for archiving.

About the role:
The Computational Biology group at 10x Genomics is looking for an outstanding intern to work with us in the summer of 2026 for our Xenium product. This person will investigate and develop approaches on Few-Shot Learning for adapting a pre-trained cell segmentation model to a much wider range of cell morphologies, using only a very limited amount of annotated samples. They will work closely with our imaging and assay-development teams to push the state-of-the-art in spatial transcriptomics. Interns will work on a mix of “real-world” product features that will ship to customers soon, and longer-term exploratory proof-of-concept work to test new ideas.

THE WORK
RippleX assists developers building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), a fast and reliable public blockchain. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and implement backend tools and components of a multi‑agent system that exercise rippled, orchestrate tests from high‑level, natural‑language requests, and verify behavior across different scenarios.
Build intelligent data workflows and pipelines over metrics, logs, traces, ledger data, and mainnet telemetry to compare runs to baselines and surface clear, actionable signals (anomalies, trends, hotspots).
Use AI-assisted techniques if they provide customer value. This includes anomaly detection on time-series metrics and logs. It also involves natural-language summaries that make sophisticated run results clear for developers.

Our program is designed for rising seniors. We designed our internshipprogram to be a game-changing first step in kicking off your career journey. During your internship, you will be a part of an intern cohort working at one of our corporate office locations. Our talent team will place you in a department based on your interviews, interests, and skill set. OUR PROGRAM
Our program is designed for rising seniors. We designed our internshipprogram to be a game-changing first step in kicking off your career journey. During your internship, you will be a part of an intern cohort working at one of our corporate office locations. Our talent team will place you in a department based on your interviews, interests, and skill set. Throughout the program, you will attend business critical meetings, lead projects, gain experience working with cross-functional teams, attend professional trainings, and have the chance to brainstorm with our leadership team. In addition, we will also provide exposure to different brands and departments giving you a larger company overview that can help you determine whether the department is the fit for your career or open the door to other departments you may develop an interest in pursuing. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. places high value on our intern's ideas for our business and our brands. During your internship, you will be given the opportunity to pioneer a new idea for the brand or function you are working for. During the final week of the program, you will present your final project to the executive leadership team. Many of our interns' project proposals have been implemented in new business strategies, as we value the fresh perspective our interns bring to the business.
Of course, we also leave time for a little fun by hosting social and networking opportunities with your fellow interns such as cohort lunches, and social hours.
The internships available at our corporate offices are within the following departments: Creative Services (photo, digital design, graphic design, visual design), eCommerce, Inventory Management, CRM, Merchandising, Product Development & Design, and Technology.
This internship specifically is part of our Technology AI/ML team with emphasis on data science, AI/ML, and GenAI initiatives to enhance customer experiences and optimize business operations.
ABOUT YOU
* You are in an undergraduate program in your junior year with an anticipated graduation date in 2027
* GPA of 3.5 or above
* Open to interning onsite in San Francisco, California
* You have a passion for our family of brands, home décor, retail, and technology
* Know how to prioritize and move quickly to react to our ever-changing business
* You're strategic and think critically to solve problems
* Technical experience with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Apache Spark, and data analysis tools; familiarity with machine learning, AI/ML algorithms, and GenAI applications preferred.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 hourly. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
