The Raytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, and combat system equipment. Mechanical Engineering is searching for an experienced Senior Principal Design Engineer to work in the Radar Design Department.
This onsite role will be based in Marlborough, MA or Tewksbury, MA.
What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for developing sound technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle.
Program support and development from early development through transition to production.
Lead the mechanical development of radar systems and components that achieve the performance requirements at the system-level.
Provides technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements
Ensures balance with risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership.
Visible and accountable for technical decisions.
Frequent technical contact with the customer and senior personnel including requirements, significant technical commitments, IRAD, future technical needs, etc.
You will also be responsible for meeting cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product.
Work with minimal direction or supervision, while exercising considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of the assignment.
Periodic travel will be required to support collaboration, and hardware build and test
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
A minimum of eight years of experience in the design of mechanical design for military or aerospace or commercial applications.
Experience with innovative mechanical design and trouble shooting skills.
Experience with phase array structures, and/or hardware packaging, and/or array integration for military or mechanical or commercial applications in a collaborative environment.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
Effective communication with all levels of a program and customer.
Experience with ANSI drawing standards and/or first order or structural analysis techniques.
Experience with CREO(Pro/E) or similar 3D solid modeling software.
Familiarity with the design and manufacturing processes of CCAs, metal housings, sheet metal, or assembly operations.
Strong technical background with high technical aptitude.
Strong leadership skills and project management for strategic decisions.

ADI's Aerospace and Defense Module Product Line has an open position for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Working on new technology development, you will design cutting-edge integrated modules and subsystems for phased array radar systems.
In this position, you will work in a collaborative team environment and interface with electrical designers, process engineers, program managers, and production assembly through all program phases from research through design and production.

Qualifications You Must Have:
