The Role:

The Expertise You Have:

Proficiency in container technologies, especially Kubernetes (AWS EKS preferred) and Docker.

Ability to design and implement automation and infrastructure solutions using languages such as Python, Groovy, Shell, and NodeJS.

The Facilities Operations team at Analog Devices is currently seeking an engineer to support facilities equipment installation, troubleshooting, and to support project construction for site locations in Wilmington and Chelmsford, MA. The Project Engineer may work independently or in conjunction with estimating to develop product cost estimates and quotations for customers. Will have lead engineering responsibility for resolving process problems and improving safety, quality, and productivity on assigned programs/processes.
Project Engineer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interacts with internal personnel including engineering, sales, customer service and manufacturing as well as external customers and vendors to successfully complete assigned programs and projects.
Works with customers and sales to identify customer design requirements and the most cost-effective designs, materials and processes for the application.
Develops cost estimates, and/or works with the estimating group to develop cost estimates, quotations and proposals for products. Responsible to ensure quotes are profitable and designs are within the company's capabilities. Uses ERP system as required.
Manages new projects from concept to production with a primary focus on ability to be manufactured, profitability and ability to meet customers' needs and fabrication.
Assists manufacturing in the transition of new projects from design and development through to production, including ensuring all required engineering documentation (drawings, spec sheets, updated estimates, item masters, BOM's) are complete before transfer.
Develops business opportunities and solves internal and customer related problems through the research and application of new materials and processes.
Tests materials and designs through screening testing or to demonstrate basic functionality.
Works with quality to measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
Participates on continuous improvement teams to improve efficiencies and profit margins.
Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Project Engineer Qualification Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering or technical field with 5-8 years relevant product development experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP system for quote, proposal submission and documentation required for product release to manufacturing.
Knowledge of plastics, foamed plastics, and textiles preferred.
Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods, and processes used in foam and plastics converting.
Knowledge of molding equipment, techniques and tooling.
Depending on site location must be familiar with internal quality systems and third-party quality systems.
Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks and/or AutoCad.
Desired computer skills and software including: Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
Some travel
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description
Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall project management of customer contracts to include:
· Review of contract & quality requirements
· Maintenance of customer drawing files
· Coordination of contract modifications
· Implementation of engineering releases, change requests and change orders
· Identification of purchase requirements
Develop manufacturing plans including bill of materials, routing and work instructions.
Coordination with corporate purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of material requirements
Creation of shop drawings as required
Interaction with vendors and customers
Develop tools, fixtures, test equipment required for manufacturing
Provides written input to proposals, reports and test data to customers as required
Develop cost estimates in support of proposal activity
Prepares status reports as required

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Target 3-5 years of experience in project management responsibilities
Target 3 years of experience in defense/aerospace related job shop machine/assembly environment
BS in Mechanical, Quality, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Master's degree a plus
Proficiency in MS Office Products
Experience with manufacturing processes to include: CNC machining, painting, welding, assembly
Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD/CAM software
Excellent human interaction skills
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Professional engineer a plus
