* Monitor daily foam production and supervise the hourly workforce as part of the training process.
* Adjust formulas as needed to maintain products within specifications and manage the line in the absence of the Technical or Pour Line Manager.
* Participate in HR-related activities for the pour line team, including appraisals and disciplinary actions, alongside the Technical Manager or Pourline Manager.
* Conduct trials to develop and improve manufacturing processes and foam formulations as part of the pour line team.
* Provide analytical expertise for process improvements, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Statistical Quality Control (SQC).

About The Role
The Facilities Engineer will play a key role in the maintenance and wider production departments, responsible for working across production and systems teams (IT) to implement and improve processes, identify and repair faults, and keep automation standardized. They must be capable of systematically identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems with mechanical systems, instrumentation, and equipment.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in automation, instrumentation, and programming. Strong electrical skills and knowledge will be critical to succeed in this role. The engineer will plan their daily schedule to complete necessary tasks, while maintaining the flexibility required to address mechanical and automation-related issues as they arise. They will demonstrate excellent creative problem-solving capabilities with a cost-conscious approach.
This person will play a crucial part in our Continuous Improvement and Asset Care programs across the plant, working closely with Production teams to integrate new processes and equipment to drive efficiency and safety initiatives.
Job responsibilities include:
Adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs and related while you exhibit and promote exceptionally high personal health & safety standards.
Establish and update LOTO, confined space, and other safety procedures including compliance with all OSHA and PPE policies.
Be proactive in maintaining plant hygiene with reference to cleaning plans, schedules and ad-hoc cleaning requirements.
Designing, building and installing projects with different aims from process improvement to integration with ERP.
Maintain and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for plant process control, monitoring and reporting.
Responsible for electrical issues and maintenance in the facility, including automation controls, instrumentation, and power transmission.
Create and follow maintenance regimes for all processing instrumentation.
Identify required spare parts for automation repairs and maintain a stock supply while actively participating on the Asset Care Team.
Establish, log, and record parameter-based checks of instrumentation effectiveness.
Understand and troubleshoot network faults within automated systems.
Basic HVAC troubleshooting skills that would include compressors and pumps.
Mechanical aptitude that includes understanding basic physics and mechanics (levers, pulleys, gears, pressure, friction, energy), interpreting diagrams and blueprints.
Ability to troubleshoot outcomes in mechanical scenarios with solid tool and object knowledge.
Be involved in support roles for project implementation, from a PLC and electrical point of view, carrying out I/O checks on systems and general troubleshooting.
Coordinate and drive utilities management and upkeep including steam boilers, wastewater, and other support systems.
Complete any task(s) as requested or assigned by anyone in the leadership group.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage multiple capital engineering projects to include: preparation of designs, scope of work and technical documentation, generate cost estimates, selection of suppliers and contractors.
Implement and manage projects to meet or exceed the goals of the projects without impacting production.
Participate in technical investigations, studies, problem review, new and proposed equipment, materials, processes and facilities.
Provide evaluations and recommendations for proposed equipment and design.
Make decisions with a clear business focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3-10 year's experience in an industrial environment.
Experience with PLC's, AC/DC drives, instrumentation and crane experience preferred

Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving to determine root cause
Knowledge of melting and casting steel or other metals preferred.
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and industrial electrical equipment.
