Job Description * Conducting on-site assessments to evaluate energy consumption patterns and identify areas for improvement. * Implement energy-saving strategies and monitor energy consumption to ensure efficient operation. * Utilizing the BAS (Building Automation System) to help identify energy saving opportunities. * Applying engineering principles to analyze systems and recommend more efficient solutions. * Assisting senior engineers in the design, development, and implementation of energy-related projects and strategies. * Staying updated on the latest technologies and participating in learning that leads to improvement in energy efficiency. * Becoming familiar with equipment sequence of operations and how control systems work. * Becoming familiar with ASHRAE standards. * Assist with the creating, maintaining, and establishing Energy Reduction Standards. * Project management of energy efficiency projects. * Working with other facility engineering disciplines/in house (maybe union) on energy projects. * Performing energy audits and identifying energy saving opportunities. * Develop and maintain a positive and respectful workplace with all employees. * Promote site Lean transformation and integrate into a team culture. * Sustainability reporting. * The entering of energy/sustainability related work orders and tracking progress. * Involvement in metering/tracking of electricity, natural gas, and water across the facility. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or institution. Desired Characteristics * Strong oral and written communication skills.
