Job Summary:
The Transportation/Civil Project Engineer will work closely with other engineers, technical specialists, and clients to successfully deliver innovative solutions for our client's challenges. Responsibilities include:
Participate in all phases of a project including planning, design, and construction for a variety of federal, state, and local clients
Using local or AASHTO standards, develop horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, utility plans, traffic control plans, signing and striping, roadway drainage including hydraulic reports, and right-of-way plans
Analyze engineering and survey data and interpret design standards and guidelines to make sound decisions and solve design challenges
Work with multidisciplinary technical teams on a variety of project sizes
Provide exceptional client service
Develop plans, specifications, and estimates using Civil 3D or OpenRoads, MS Office programs, Bluebeam, and other design software
Develop intimate familiarity with design standards, processes, and procedures
Assist with technical memoranda, engineering reports, and planning studies
Assist with construction administration services
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D experience is preferred not required

Product Design:
Early partnership with marketing teams to identify design elements that are new, unique or difficult and enable their realization through all engineering verification and validation cycles.
Understanding the functional requirements for the product and developing quantified functional specifications to evaluate product designs.
Translating functional specifications into detailed component and material specifications.
Developing test criteria for evaluating the quality of products at the end of the manufacturing process.
Drive DfX activities in the hardware product development schedules to meet or exceed product targets (ex. Manufacturability, scale, quality, reliability, safety, cost).

The Facilities Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team that oversees the design, operation, and maintenance of the organization's facilities, utilities and infrastructure. The position is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and sustainability of building systems, equipment and processes. This position requires a thorough understanding of the processes and systems associated with the facilities and utilities and the applicable regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures, and requirements. The ability to demonstrate effective communication is essential for collecting required information, alignment of strategies and approaches, and correcting deficiencies while maintaining good working relationships with internal customers and external service providers. Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing and facilities is required. Duties and Responsibilities
Leads cross functional internal and external teams during the execution of facilities projects and development of internal programs/processes for successful outcomes
Oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Conducts regular inspections to ensure systems comply with safety and environmental regulations
Develops and implements preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Plans and manages facility improvement projects, including renovations, expansions, and upgrades
Coordinates with contractors, vendors, service providers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Provides technical expertise to resolve issues related to building systems and equipment
Investigates and troubleshoots system failures, recommending and implementing solutions
Evaluates project feasibility, including cost estimation and resource allocation
Monitors and analyzes energy usage to identify opportunities for cost savings and sustainability improvements
Implements energy-efficient solutions and sustainability initiatives
Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and standards
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of cGMPs and Global Regulatory (e.g., FDA / MHRA / EMEA) guidelines and regulations acquired through education, experience, and training
Thorough experience with facility systems regarding design, construction, and repairs; systems include but are not limited to HVAC, compressed gases, water systems (i.e. purified water, steam), electrical, and automation/controls plus monitoring
Experience in facility design regarding process flow, controlled zones, fit and finish, and structural components with respect to pharmaceutical facilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Communicates effectively and maintains productive relationships with coworkers, clients, and other contacts outside the Company
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Accepts feedback from a variety of sources and constructively manages conflict
Proficiency in enterprise systems, Microsoft Office and other office productivity tools, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD/Revit, CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or another discipline with equivalent experience and training
Proven experience in facilities management, engineering, or related field
Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Familiarity with energy management, sustainability practices, and building automation systems
Preference will be granted to candidates holding LEED AP, CFM, or PE certification
