In March of 1987, Burnside Projects opened a new headquarters at 435 NW Glisan.
Doug’s House opened in 1988 to offer traditional hospice services to those with HIV/AIDS. It’s mission has evolved to include short-term intensive respite care as the treatment for the illness has improved.
1990 marked the separation of men’s and women’s services – first by a curtain, next by a wall.
The first day of training to launch the Historical Associations' Key Stage 2-3 History Transition Project was held at Buckden Towers, near Huntingdon, in January 2005.
Initial grant funding for the project ended in August 2011.
In 2018 alone, more than 1,100 formerly homeless people found safe, affordable housing in the four-county area with our agency’s support.
