Experience • A minimum of 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in either a family medicine or primary care practice preferred. Full Job Description: Job Type - Full Time Provider Hours: Monday- Thursday: 7:30am-5pm Friday: 7:30am - 12pm No On Call Location: Rockingham, NC Medical Specialty: Pain Management Job Responsibility: Takes initial patient histories and performs physical examinations Review patient's medical diagnosis, prognosis, medications, procedures, and clinical course Initiates, documents, and communicates the plan of care and follows up to ensure complete screening and preparation of patients Performs daily patient rounds Writes orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests Interprets laboratory and test results Confers with physicians, nursing staff, and/or other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care Provides health education and counseling Must be willing to work independently and be responsible for your own caseload Physical Setting: Outpatient Requirements: Graduate degree from an accredited nursing school, such as a Master of Science in nursing or Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program State license BLS certification National Provider Identifier (NPI) Must have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the state of practice. 2-4 years of clinical work experience Must be compassionate and personable.
