    Physician Assistant With the supervision of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) the PA-C provides medical care, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history as per the Supervisory Agreement in place with OSMB. Must be able to work with autonomy within Ohio law under direction of supervising physician. Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. Orders, interprets and evaluates laboratory test and other diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Develops a diagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data. Develops a treatment plan along with the patient and significant others as directed and reviewed by physician. Performs diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification, law and Akron Children's Hospital privileges. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through Ohio Board of Medicine and hospital policy. Develops patient education plan. Practice with a variety of specialty-based populations including neonatal, pediatric, and adult. Practices in any setting in which patients require complex monitoring and therapies, high intensity medical intervention, or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care. Participates in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a bi-annual basis to assure quality care and per ORC requirements. Other information: Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Preferred. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Ohio, Current NCCPA (National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistant) certification. Must have Supervision Agreement filed, current certificate to practice and certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by Ohio Board of Medicine. Must obtain credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical staff privileges. Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required. Your Qualifications: Board Certified by the ANCC as a PMHNP A minimum of 4 years' post grad experience practicing as a PMHNP, preferably in a telehealth setting; Prior RN experience in psychiatry/behavior health is a plus! Ability to obtain and maintain active and unrestricted license and DEA number. We can assist in obtaining licensure as needed. Please note, we evaluate all applications but will prioritize those applicants who have licensure in markets where we have active needs, and/or the ability to obtain autonomous licensure. You must also have demonstrated: Experience administering initial mental health evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, medication management, as well as psychoeducation/supportive therapy. Proficiency in using an Electronic Medical Record system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date electronic health records for all patient encounters. Passion for high quality care, and the ability to prioritize best practices in the virtual telepsychiatry space. Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills. A willingness and passion to expand clinical skill set through continuous education, and a commitment to evidence-based practice. A proactive approach with a strong work ethic and desire to participate in a collaborative environment. A commitment to high-quality, cost-effective behavioral health care.
