What You'll Do
Provide comprehensive interventional pain management services in both clinic and ASC settings
Perform procedures such as spinal and joint injections, nerve blocks, and stimulator implants
Evaluate, treat, and follow up with patients using evidence-based care plans
Collaborate with experienced APPs and medical assistants to streamline patient flow
Contribute to ongoing clinical research and continuous improvement initiatives
Compensation & Ownership Model
Base Salary: Fully guaranteed, based on experience
Production-Based RVU Model: Earn $75K-$125K+ annually in additional compensation, paid out once per year
Minority Equity Ownership: Physicians may be offered the opportunity to buy into their ASC, depending on location and situation
Quarterly Equity Distributions: Typically recoup the initial investment within 1.5 years, with long-term earnings that scale significantly over time
Each location maintains a dedicated physician partner, generally owning approximately 20% equity, depending on location
Typical Week
3 days per week in clinic (new patients & follow-ups, 20-25 per day)
2 days per week in the ASC (procedures, 18-20 per day)
Dedicated support: ~3 MAs per physician, experienced APPs, front office, and lab staff
EMR: eClinicalWorks
No hospital rounding or inpatient responsibilities

Full-time Description
FHCN seeks a NursePractitioner to provide primary health care to individuals and families at the Practitioner's assigned site and other satellite sites as assigned. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Included but not limited to the following);
Provides direct, high-quality, primary medical care to FHCN patients; maintains and enhances a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice; and continually strives to improve the quality of care at FHCN.
Provide or arrange for comprehensive primary care services in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic setting, including laboratory and diagnostic workup, and specialty referrals.
Uses his or her best professional judgment while practicing medicine at FHCN within his or her scope of practice. Works interdependently with other health care providers and health care staff in a team environment.
Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with FHCN credentialing/privileging policy.
Provide consultation to other clinic providers either in person or by telephone.
Consult with and coordinate patient care with clinic physicians, covering community primary care physicians, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
Assess patient needs and arrange for specialty referrals, diagnostic and in-patient care and make appropriate referrals for service.
Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records in accordance with FHCN policy.
Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.
Renders care to FHCN patients in accordance with quality and standards as are established by FHCN, the standards of care prevailing in the community, applicable law, and according to state and federal grant requirements for non-discrimination regardless of status, race, sex, religion, national origin, handicap, age, or ability to pay.
Collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and address the complex issues which may adversely impact the health of homeless clients.
Participates as an effective team member in the provision of medical and health care.
Facilitates client participation in self-care by providing information and choices in a non-judgmental, respectful manner.
Takes initiative when appropriate to determine ways to deliver health care in a more compassionate, expedited, user-friendly manner.
Maximizes community linkages while acting as advocate for patients.
Provides after-hours care via call service and during extended hours and weekends as scheduled.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to function effectively as a team member and facilitate completion of tasks.
Experience in FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) industry preferred
Requires strong organizational skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
Must be computer literate in accounting software excel, word and outlook.
Able to exercise sound judgment and discretion in managing patient and employee issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years private practice experience or 1 year experience in a community health center.
Spanish bilingual preferred.
Current registration in the State of South Carolina as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
Certification as a NursePractitioner from the American Nurse's Credentialing Center.
A Master of Science degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the American Nurse's Association of the American Association of NursePractitioners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBITIES include the following but are not limited to:
* Performs comprehensive examinations, including physical, developmental assessment and screening for psychosocial problems.
* Complete timely documentation in the EMR for each patient encounter and review patient medical records for accuracy, and completeness as outlined in LRMC Policy for ensuring timely medical record documentation.
* Requests, obtains and evaluates results of screening tests.
* Prescribes treatment plan for management/care for patients and families according to protocols and refers appropriately.

* Counsels' patients and families appropriately regarding management of their care.

* Confer with medical preceptor at least monthly, or when needed for consultation, information, etc.
* Develops with medical preceptor and supervisor protocols and/or appropriate literature or reference materials to be used and appropriate for state board of nursing for patient management of clients and families.
* Provides ongoing staff education based on health needs of population served. Provides in-service education in area of specialty. Provides individualized clinical orientation for nursing personnel in specialty area.
* Conduct quality assurance review utilizing clinical measures by life cycle.
* Serve as advocate for the center and serve as liaison to local hospitals, health organizations as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE:

* A diploma or associate degree in nursing with three (3) years' experience as a registered nurse or a BSN degree and two (2) years' experience as an RN and completion of a program of study of at least four (4) months duration in primary health care under the auspices of a recognized university and five (5) months clinical and laboratory practice under the close supervision of a physician preceptor.
