Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive psychological and developmental evaluations for children and adolescents, integrating ADOS-2, cognitive, adaptive, and language measures.
Draft reader-friendly diagnostic reports that meet DSM-5 and payer documentation standards, typically within five business days of testing.
Provide compassionate, plain-language feedback to caregivers, including individualized recommendations that bridge school, home, and therapy settings.
Collaborate daily with BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs to translate assessment findings into evidence-based treatment plans.

Required Qualifications

Psychology interns provide psychological services to University students, under the supervision of qualified professionals, so as to facilitate students' academic success and balanced personal development. The purpose of the position is to provide a high quality, closely supervised training experience to advanced doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology and to have the interns contribute to the realization of the CAPS mission.
What you'll do in this position:
Psychological services to students
* Provide 24 direct clinical hours of psychological services to students
Psychology Internship training
* Participate in the training activities provided by the CAPS training program under the direction of the Training Committee.
* Make effective and regular use of supervision. This includes provision of direct observation by supervisors or video/audio taping of therapy sessions and a willingness to receive and consider feedback and constructive criticism.
* Participate in the evaluation of intern performance by supervisors and the Director of Training and intern evaluation of the training program.
* Complete an approved and intern group program evaluation project.

You may qualify if you meet one of the following:
1. GS-7: You must have completed or will complete a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's from an accredited institution AND must have documented Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) at the undergraduate level in the following:
a) Grade Point Average 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 as recorded on your official transcript or as computed based on 4 years of education or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of curriculum; OR 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in your major field or the required courses in your major field completed during the final 2 years of your curriculum.

We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our integrated clinical team. In this role, you will work onsite in one or more long-term care facilities within your local community, providing therapy, assessment, care planning, and behavioral health support. What You'll Do
As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will:
Clinical Services
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, mental status exams, and cognitive screenings
Provide individual psychotherapy tailored to the needs of older adults and individuals with complex medical or cognitive conditions
Facilitate family therapy and caregiver support sessions
Lead or co-lead group therapy sessions when appropriate
Provide behavioral management interventions to support residents, facility staff, and families
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
Manage caseload independently while exercising clinical judgment consistent with ethical and professional standards
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Partner daily with nursing staff, social workers, physicians, and rehabilitation teams
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care plan reviews
Serve as a behavioral health resource to facility leadership and staff
Offer consultation to facility teams regarding behavioral strategies, resident needs, and care recommendations
Documentation & Compliance
Complete all documentation in a timely manner using our Geriatric Notes Tool (GNT)
Maintain accurate, comprehensive clinical records aligned with regulatory requirements
Adhere to state laws, CMS expectations, HIPAA standards, and APA ethical guidelines
Facility Partnership
Foster collaborative and professional relationships with facility personnel
Model professionalism and empathy while representing Deer Oaks
Maintain reliability, punctuality, and strong communication to support consistent care delivery

Psychology Intern -
APA accredited pre-doctoral internship with BYU Counseling and Psychological Services. (Applicants are by INVITATION ONLY)
Psychology interns provide psychological services to University students, under the supervision of qualified professionals, so as to facilitate students' academic success and balanced personal development. The purpose of the position is to provide a high quality, closely supervised training experience to advanced doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology and to have the interns contribute to the realization of the CAPS mission.
What you'll do in this position:
Psychological services to students
Provide 24 direct clinical hours of psychological services to students
Psychology Internship training
Participate in the training activities provided by the CAPS training program under the direction of the Training Committee.
Make effective and regular use of supervision. This includes provision of direct observation by supervisors or video/audio taping of therapy sessions and a willingness to receive and consider feedback and constructive criticism.
Participate in the evaluation of intern performance by supervisors and the Director of Training and intern evaluation of the training program.
Complete an approved and intern group program evaluation project.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
Bachelor's degree and current enrollment in doctoral program. Completion of doctoral course work and qualifying examinations for their doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology (including a minimum of 400 hours of supervised practical experience) by the beginning of the internship
Endorsement by the doctoral program as to readiness for the psychology internship
Completed APPIC application
