The Quality Control Technician performs inspections, checks, tests, and samplings on all incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacturing of products provided by our company.
Responsibilities:
* Performs inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies and finished goods (including FAIs) according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical, and/or electrical measurements.
* Inspects, reworks, or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required.
* Conducts and documents process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
* Accurately documents the results of each inspection and testing.
* Coordinates and/or performs calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
* Reads and interprets engineering drawings and material specifications.
* Maintains detailed records describing and verifying completion of all required quality inspections.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associate's Degree in engineering or a technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, equivalent number years of experience is required.
* 0- 2 years of related experience required.
* Knowledge of dimensional metrology, along with the technical skills to perform basic mechanical inspection and gauging operations. Basic understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) a plus.
* Solid computer skills include MS Office
Physical Demands:
* Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
* Required to stand, walk, and sit and requires some lifting in excess of 25 pounds.
* May use manufacturing equipment and machines that requires personal protective equipment
Work Environment:
* This position operates in both the office environment as well as the production floor.
* While on the production floor, employee may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and may be required to put on precautionary, protective wear such as goggles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year of Proven experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to use all measuring tools, read and decipher detailed measurements on blueprints.
Ability to read GD&T prints and perform manual measurements frequently to complex specifications.
Knowledge of AS9100 Quality System, AS9102 FAI paperwork, First Article Inspection.
CMM knowledge strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Experience conducting quality audits and implementing quality management systems.
Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and gauges.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence when necessary.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS products is a plus
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
High level of dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.

High school diploma or GED. Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred.
Experience in an ISO 9001 environment preferred.
Non-Destructive Testing Certification preferred.
Ultrasonic Testing Inspector must have prior Level II experience. Preferably UT certified.
What you will be responsible for:
Carries out inspection activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications and procedures in order to verify that the product meets specified requirements.
Must be able to effectively use, read and interpret a tape measure.
Performs incoming, in-process and final dimensional and visual inspection of materials and assemblies to determine compliance.
Electronically records the results to provide evidence that the product has been inspected, whether accepted or rejected.
The Inspector is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.
Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.
Must have weld inspection experience. AWS D1.1 experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations and Powder Coating.
Inspection will work closely with Manufacturing to ensure full compliance to Engineering requirements.
