This is a 12 hour rotating shift schedule from 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.This position will work closely with production lines to ensure the facility meets quality standards. • Inspect product to verify compliance with known specifications (all departments) • Correctly input data into computer system • Interpret test data as pass or fail • Handle quality issues with peers and departmental supervision during shift • Be proactive in addressing quality issues and provide feedback in a timely manner • Assure that raw materials are within tolerance • Write and place non-conforming material on hold • Perform Layered Process Audits throughout the plant • Perform measurement studies • Write/update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) • Find Continuous Improvement Ideas in the plant • Effectively communicate with department Managers, Supervisors and Leads Qualifications High School diploma 2 year college degree preferred 1 - 2 years of Quality experience in an industrial environment preferred. Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports. Must be able to read and write. Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred. Periodically lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand and walk for 8-12 hours. Ability to work 12-hour shifts. Must be able to read a tape measure Must be able to spot defects that could occur in each department Must be able to write neatly and legibly Must be able to distinguish between slight color variations Able to read, understand and verify all information on spec sheets.
