The position of Instrument Quality Technician is within Abbott's Infectious Disease Developed Markets business unit located in South Portland, ME. In this role you will serve as an advanced technician supporting the Global Instruments Quality organization. What we're looking for: 2 years post high school technology degree or 2 years construction materials testing experience, or a combination of the two Willing and able to work year-round in all weather Able to lift 75 pounds Driver's license (Preferred) Prior concrete testing, laboratory, or construction experience What you'll be doing: You will be working on construction sites and in the materials testing lab: Performing field testing of soils, concrete and bituminous pavement Performing density testing of soils and asphalt Performing laboratory testing of materials brought in by our field personnel, or by the client. Maintaining daily records to document testing/inspection services conducted Performing Concrete and Asphalt plant inspections.
