The technician will perform routine tasks independently and competently, eventually receiving training to run ICP-MS, and generate precise, reliable data in a timely manner. Responsibilities + Prepare samples and perform wet chemistry tests such as pH, titrations, and acid-base preparation. + Conduct sample preparation tasks including weighing, pipetting, and volumetric dilutions. + Generate precise, reliable, and reproducible data efficiently. + Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation. + Maintain instrument calibration. + Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding safety and GMP compliance. + Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. + Perform housekeeping tasks in the laboratory, ensuring cleanliness and organization. + Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience with wet chemistry techniques such as pH, titrations, and acid-base preparation. + Bachelor's degree in a science field or an Associate's degree with 1-2 years of lab experience. + Proficiency in laboratory safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). + Quality control experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to work independently without supervision. + Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. + Strong communication skills. + Responsive problem solver with an action-oriented mindset. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel for data manipulation. Work Environment The lab technician will work in a small, family-owned company environment, alongside one other lab technician, with production on-site. Comfort in a close-knit family setting is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.
