Job Summary
National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Yard Quality Inspector for the shipping and receiving area. There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position with the first $500 paid after the first 3 months of continuous employment and another $500 paid after 6 months of continuous employment.
Job Responsibilities
QA load checks for all loads
Conduct visual inspections for legible print line, gasket defects, chamfer, bell, fading, and any other issues of pipe
Confirm all products being shipped with PO is accurate
Confirm correct product makes it on the truck
Confirm packaging is correct safe and secure for each bundle
Number of boards and banding
Number of pieces per bundle
Identify any physical damage to product from yard handling and report through the proper channels
All other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination thereof
At least 1 year of related experience, preferred
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
Computer literate experienced with Microsoft Office software
Ability to work in the outdoor elements
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

SUMMARY
Assist/support the Quality Management System by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation. Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, conducting relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. OB DUTIES
Assist in daily review of production quality performance by monitoring non-conforming part (NCP) trends, and the development of NCP reduction plans.
Assist the Quality Supervisor in the development & delivery of product specific Quality Training for all employees.
Partner with Engineering to ensure product(s) are being manufactured in compliance to Company and Customer specifications.
Supports Kennedy Valve's ISO 9001 Certification Standards.
Assists the Quality Supervisor with maintaining the Supplier Quality Performance database.
Perform analysis of customer returns or non-conforming material for root cause analysis and corrective action.
Assist with the generation of Quality Department inspections, logs, and reports (SIR, Holiday Free, Incoming Inspection)
Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated, validated, and properly maintained.
Engage team members in the identification of improvement opportunities and relevant countermeasures and controls.
Qualifications

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
As an integral part of our warehouse team, you will:
+ Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other essential records.
+ Compile and analyze data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
+ Monitor stock levels and proactively identify replenishment needs.
+ Investigate inventory discrepancies, damages, and shrink issues to keep operations running smoothly.
+ Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories to ensure product accuracy.
+ Verify stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorized substitutes, and other details against catalogs, manuals, and product lists to confirm correct shipments.
+ Identify unused or excess items and make recommendations for disposal or redistribution.

+ Capable of lifting a minimum of 40 lbs., with potential for heavier loads depending on facility needs.
+ Flexibility to work varied schedules and shifts, including weekends when needed.
